New to coil building, new to dripping. Just bought a Tugboat. HELP!

Title says most of it. Now I need recommendations on a dual coil build. It's going on top of an hcigar Nemesis copper clone. The B&M store I bought it at was kind enough to build me a coil and loan me a mech mod until I get my Nemesis clone, tomorrow. But I NEED to learn to build my own. I refuse to ask someone to build coils for me.
For what it's worth, I plan on using organic cotton for my wick. (May experiment with Ecowool, later, when cash flow recovers from this hit)

The guy at Gekko Vapes in Englewood, CO built me what he called a concentric (I think that's what he called it) coil. He basically wrapped a coil around a small screwdriver, then using a pair of locking pliers, while the coil was still on the screwdriver, wrapped another coil into the one he'd already wrapped. Thing hits like an M1 tank, and I've never blown so much vapor and never vaped that much flavor! It meters out at 1.3 ohm on my MVP, but I'm only using it on the loaner mech mod. BTW, don't try to ask them for a loaner until you've spent lots of money and time there.

Definitely gonna try this one, but I want more choices. I don't yet have an ohm meter, so I will NOT be trying any coil I build, on any battery! Kinda like my face the way it is. Not to mention the fact that I'm using a loaner mod. Once I have an ohm meter, coil building will commence.

Recommendations, hints, and even some opinions will all be considered, and, likely, attempted. At least once.

Good call on not firing anything until you get a multimeter or ohmmeter, safety first!

My advice is just try everything lol, I've been dripping for about a month now and I've gone though about 50 feet of coil already! Get a collection of drill bits/ jewelers screwdrivers/ blunt tip needles yada yada anything you can wrap a coil around at various sizes and track and repeat those results. Get several different guage wires some gauges work better with different builds. Keep some sort of a ledger with notes on what you liked or didn't like.

Make sure your coils are tight and symmetrical, use a lot of tension to get your wraps even. Proper wicking is super important to getting a good build, you'll hear less is more a lot it took me a few builds to really grasp that.

Really it's all personal preference so a lot of experimentation early will help you out a lot. Have fun with it, I'm constantly tinkering with this thing...
