New to DIY NEED help!!

Hello everyone, while I am new to DIY I am not new to vaping. I finally progressed enough that I am vaping on a REO with the RM2 rba. I finally got the atty rebuilding down and now I want to further save on my costs and worry over what the FDA is going to do and I want to DIY my juices. This is my issue, I SUCK at math and technical stuff so things might need to be dumbed down for me to understand what you are saying.

We vape 50/50 at 6mgs ( hubs and I)
Hubs prefers fruit flavors while I prefer sweet coffee and nutty flavors. I haven't placed an actual order from WL yet because I can't understand the difference between the flavorings. There are TFA, LA, SM, and whatever else... lol. What I have in my cart is a 250 ml bottle of 12 mg nic in VG and going to add a 250 ml bottle of PG then I just need flavorings correct? Besides the misc syringes and bottles right? ANY help is MUCH appreciated!!

Good start, yes you need the bottles and syringes, and flavor, and don't forget the sweetener too and some gloves (even though you are using lower concentration nic, gloves are a good idea just in case of a spill.)

TFA, LA, SM etc are brad names, like McCormick, or Watkins at the grocery store.

Use an e-juice calculator (there are several online to choose from) and start with lower percentages of flavor (2-3%) and just a drop or so of sweet per 10 ml of finished juice. You can add more, but you can't take it out so easily.

Some flavors, especially tobacco flavors need to steep several weeks. Fruits are often good as soon they are mixed and, anything else, nuts, candy etc... is usually better if you steep it 3 days per flavoring in the juice.

Glad you said how much too because I had NO CLUE!! lol I have the calculator up but I sure can't figure out how to use it!! eJuice Recipe Calculator I knew I'd have to steep but I didn't know how long since it is DIY and has no time steeping like in shipment. I was REALLY confused about those TFA, LA and whatnot. I'm excited to get started with it and HOPEFULLY can find an all day vape without it costing a ton to do so!! lol Thank You again!!

play around with the calulator some. ENtering values for nic and flavorings hit caluate. CHeck the recipe section on efc and get a feel for things. MOst the flavoring brands have a thread with suggestions for starting percentages. GEt alot of small bottles. CAppellas are very easy to work with for beginners.

Long DIY story short... have used many flav manufacturers. Sure wish da Vaping Zone Super Concentrates (VZSC) were 'round when I started! It's now my go to flavoring source! Start at .5% and then incrementally up da flav % til you're a happy vaping camper.

Just think of the flavors like you do in cooking, what enhances what? Like a small bit of coffee enhances chocolate (even though you don't taste the coffee.) Vanilla can make tobacco and nut flavors pop even at too low a % to actually taste vanilla. Lemon makes most fruits pop and so on.

You'll do fine and find some recipes you invented that you love.

Just remember, it's your stuff and your vape and, you are the only one that has to think it's great. If you love it, that's all you need to know, even if everyone else hates it.

Awesome that I saw this thread! I vape with the SAME SETUP! I haven't quite mastered the TFA flavoring yet. Did a couple at 15% total flavoring and just made a Cappuccino/Chocolate at 8% total flavoring that I can always add more if needed. Funny that we're starting with the same setup and doing DIY for the same reasons! (I guess we ALL do it save money and have fun anyways right?)

I wanted to get the blue glass but they were out. Now I wish I'd have gotten a BIG glass bottle to mix the PG with the vg based mix juice together. I'm not sure I totally understand the % of flavor. Should I have ordered the nic juice in a of base instead? Ugh I hate always being a newbie at stuff!!
