So guys I'm wanting to make my own liquid but before I start I've found some already mixxed 80/20 - PG/VG.....am I rite in thinking I use that add my flavour and desired nicotine strength ( I know nicotine is a bit of a dark subject and researched the seriousness of handling it) . I have a proper workspace out of site and reach of pondering hands :)

Generally most of us here will purchase a bottle of NIC solution and seperate bottles of PG and VG and just mix our own ratios (75/25 50/50 25/75) and Formulate our NIC strength calculating it all with an ejuice calculator

eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator

I would recommend doing some reading before investing or starting DYI

Read my blogs

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

E-Cigarette Forum - Hoosier - Blogs

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

Yes, once you have your pg/vg base then add your desired mg of nic and add flavors. I personally do my flavors first and mix them well then add the pg/vg/nic. Shake them well several times.

Ps. If you're new to this do small batches at first until you find a flavor you're willing to make a large amount of for an ADV (All Day vape). You can make then without using nicotine so as to save on it. If you like them enough add your nicotine.

Yes I was going to just do 5ml samples to start with as someone told me that's best. And my everyday cape at the min is either spearmint or coolmint ( because it has that cool hit at the back of the throat like a menthol lol sad I know haha)

Sure! I've seen quite a few links here and nobody has been incarcerated for it yet.

If the filters block it, don't try to bypass them. That can get silly. There's a reason some links are blocked and sometimes they are really good reasons.
Cheers Hoosier :) so this is what I've found so far if I've got anything wrong please correct Me :)

So I've found
Flavourings-
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=271369986010&alt=web
Propylene glycol-
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=121076375221&alt=web
Vegetable glycerin-
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=121212171525&alt=web
( from same supplyer of PG )

and finally liquid nicotine-
http://www.thealchemistscupboard.co.uk/product/72mg nicotine in vg

So that all the ingredients but what I don't quite understand is the nicotine and flavourings are already mixed with either VG OR PG .... I don't understand ? Does it matter ? Do I use less VG and PG or the same ?

The flavoring you linked is PG based, so they are treated as PG for your PG/VG ratio calculations.

The 72mg/ml nicotine is suspended in VG from that link so it would be treated as VG for the PG/VG ratio calculations.

If you're not picky about your PG/VG ratio then treat them all as one or the other and let the PG/VG ratio fall wherever it wants....that's what I usually do. I just input my ingredients as all PG even though I use PG and VG pre-mixed up and don't really give too much consideration to the final PG/VG ratio. I find it to be much ado about a very minor point in getting a flavor right. (and I vape for the taste, not vape to brag about my PG/VG ratios)

Most do ask since many folks think it is important to know. I'm just not one of those people.

I use the Excel spreadsheet one in the sticky's written by Scubabatdan. Many folks use the ejuice me up one. There are many calculators.

Really should be playing around with one or two while waiting for your supplies to come in. It's kinda' like going to car company site and configuring a car with what you think you'd want if you won the lottery. On the car site you learn about option package combos and in the calculator you learn about how recipes look as volumes instead of ratios and percentages.

Can't help ya' much with nicotine. The UK has an upper limit, 72mg/ml if I remember right, and here in Hoosier-land any concentration is legal to purchase, but I usually buy 100mg/ml.

(Indiana if anyone wonders where to find Hoosier-land on an atlas. And it's a complicated story with many versions as to why we are called Hoosiers.)

I'm not certain any of the places I like to get nicotine from ship to the UK. I tend to get mine from Xtreme Vaping or Vapers Tek. Both of these will have more of a pink hue than brown when they start to oxidize. There is some really pure nicotine being produced in the UK, but I don't know which vendors over there are getting it and diluting it down for their countrymen.
