Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to mixing my own e-juice and obviously concerned about safety, mixing my juices I'm using:

- Nitrate Gloves
- Safety Goggles
- 70% Isopropyl Alcohol Wipes
- Safe, and lockbox for 72mg PG Nicotine

Since I'm making big batches of 10-30ml 80/20 vg > pg, I've found that adding the nicotine last is safer and more practical since it allows you to primary focus on adding nothing else but nicotine. I also found it better since you can quickly dilute the nicotine into the PG based content (nicotine, flavours). It's also water soluble, so does not require alcohol to wipe up any spills.

Which brings me to the question...

Is mixing flavours, vg and pg without gloves or goggles, safe (zero nicotine)?

I'm unaware of any harmful indigents but frankly, want to make sure before proceeding!

I would then obviously add the nicotine after I've bottled all the flavours, vg and pg... and take the essential safety steps using gloves, goggles and so on.

I never use gloves or goggles even for doing stuff with 100mg nicotine. If I spilt more than a tiny bit, I'd probably put on some gloves, but if just a tiny bit gets on your fingers/hands, no biggie, just rinse off with cold water. It's neither nuclear nor toxic waste -- 100mg nicotine is still only a 10% concentration. It's also water soluble, so does not require alcohol to wipe up any drips.

I don't use gloves either, but, unlike many here, I did get a little nic sick from getting some on my hands and not washing it off right away. Not a bad nic sick mind you, but I knew exactly what had happened. Only thing I changed after that was, if I get it on my hands opening the bottle or adding the nic to the mix, I wash up straight away.
