I just bought an IGO-L and I am paranoid that I am going to catch it on fire. I am running it at 2.0 ohms with a cotton wick. My question is how will I know when to refill/top it off. Will the vapor be less, stop working, etc? I have read and heard so many stories about people hitting the button and catching the wick on fire. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I sub ohm at about .7 with cotton. You can always sense the juice is running low just but the taste of the vapor. I gets just a slight dry burnt taste to it. Don't let it get to far or you will regret it. You will get use to it after you drip for awhile. I haven't had a dry hit in along time. At first you will get some. You will get that chocker hit long before you catch your cotton on fire.

I run cotton in all my rebuildables and it is really clear when you need to drip again. You will burn your throat and probably throw up from the bad taste before the cotton ever burns. I always redrip if there is the slightest difference in taste. Also if you just pop the top off you will be able to see if the wick is too dry.

After you do it for a bit you will notice when the vapor production as well as the flavor is diminishing. I love the igo-l's and have been using them for around six months. If you like dripping, you may want to consider a reo somewhere down the line. I have been vaping for over a year and didn't think it could get much better but I was wrong. Happy vaping to you and I look forward to reading about your future success and what you are trying. It is all fun and you will find ecf is pretty addictive too. :)

I'm betting anyone who caught it on fire tried to dry burn their cotton wick. When your coil looks gunked up take the cotton out first (get it all) then dry burn the coil with a couple short pulses and rethread some new cotton. When in use, as others have said, you'll get a super harsh taste long before it's a fire hazard.

You won't be able to vape on a RDA long enough to catch it on fire, it would be like trying to pull a sheet of sandpaper through your throat before it's dry enough to catch flames. If you do get a nasty taste in your mouth and it continues to give a nasty taste you probably burned the cotton inside of the coils.

I usually vape around .3 (now, for a while I didn't like a dual build below .4) I get about 1-2 pulls, tokes, hits, whatever you want to call it, LoL. for every drop of juice.
