Yeah. That's where I am. I don't think it adds the discount until check out? Maybe? So, do I have what I need now, or would just the starter kit do me to start with without the other stuff? I dont want to get started and run out of stuff. :)
To get the 20% off click on the 20% off link at the very top left of the homepage on the site. That kit is everything you need except for juice, I have never tried their juice but liberty does sell it & they have a good reputation

Yeah that Riva light starter kit... full 510 system with 750mah batteries

I don’t think you can beat that as a starter kit right now.

Get some juice... I would get several that you think you might like and try them all, If you are a menthol smoker make sure you get some menthol juice too… some of those are the best.

If you are a heavy smoker you might want to consider a 1000mah battery ( that is what I use ) however those 750's will probably do you just fine so that is NOT necessary

You might want to try a low resistance atomizer... just for fun... that kit comes with 2 atomizers so you will have one spare.. a second spare is not a terrible idea.

One thing you can do is find a blank cartridge ( one with no filler in it ) you might get one of those with your kit... you can drip a juice you want to try ( 2-3 drops ) onto your atomizer and then slip that blank cartridge in to try it out before filling a cartridge with it.

You could get a drip tip, and if you become a constant dripper it will probably be a good idea later, but you don’t have to have a drip tip to try dripping, so I would hold off on that to start wtih.

I don’t think you need a lot extra

Maybe one more spare atomizer ( and you might want to try a LR atomizer just for fun, they are no more expensive ) maybe a huge battery…. But really not necessary, mostly you just need juice.

A week from now you are going to know a lot more… and will have a better idea of what you might like to try.

db13berry, Great choice on the 510! That's the model that got me (and a TON of other people) off of nasty cigarettes. To get started, you will want to have 2 or more batteries, two or more atomizers, 1 or more chargers, and a good supply of cartridges. Cartridges are refillable so ordering some bottles of e-liquid would be good. I started with about 6 different flavors, 5ml of each. I didn't get the larger bottles until I knew what I liked. If you still have some budget left, you may want to try ordering some cartomizers and a drip-tip. Not necessary, but it's good to try out the different ways of vaping and see what works best for you.

As to your confusion, I will try to help you out some:

Cartomizer: An atomizer and cartridge all in one piece. Generally holds more liquid. Refillable.

Tanks: Many styles but they all hold a tremendous amount of juice (much more than cartridges or cartomizers)

LR atomizers/cartomizers: (WARNING-Technical stuff!) LR stands for "Low Resistance". The benefit of low resistance is that you can get more watts (vaping power) using the same voltage (battery). This means hotter vapor and more of it. It is supposed to simulate vaping using a higher voltage device. Read up before you try these....some people have reported battery damage...others have had no reported problems.

"more...": People are always coming up with new stuff!

I hope that helps! Best of luck to you!

That advice on the batteries and chargers applies to the 510 but, I think you'd have to be vaping two at a time with an eGo or Riva to need that!

I wouldn’t have needed that 1000 mah battery but my wife took my second ego... make off with it like a bandit and I wanted at least one spare battery between us, and if I was going to get another battery... I opted for the big 1000mah one.

If you and your wife are both doing it, you are vaping two at a time. :)

Absolutely! As you see from my post, I was under the impression that it was a 510 being ordered, not an Ego/Riva. I get a whole work day plus commute out of my Ego batteries, unless of course it's one of those high stress days. LOL

Outstanding way to start! This will always make a great backup system, even if you grow out of it. Just be sure that you have enough juice on-hand, and don't run out. A 30ml stock should be OK, for a while, but be sure to order in time so that you don't run out. I screwed up like that, in the beginning, and had to revert to a couple of analogues... they really did suck.

I ordered the starter kit and a few extra of everything. Along with 6 5ml bottles of juice to get started. Cant wait for it to get here!

Thanks! I can already tell I am going to turn into a juiceaholic. I started a Memo last night of all the juices I want to try out first. I just hope this Riva meets my expectations and I can get everything going smoothly when it gets here. If not, I have you guys! Thanks so much for everyone's input!

We are going to be watching... I too want to know if the Riva meets your expectations.

I am using an eGo myself... but that Riva looks like a really good deal, I moved from the Tank system to the LR cylinder atomizer and mega cartridge and mine is working fantastic now.

My wife still likes the tank… and if it is working for her… then there is nothing for me to argue with.

Really want to hear what you think of the Riva

I new to all this vaping since Feb. 16. It was all consuming and confussing to me to and to some degree still is. Get your Riva kit and some juice (24mg strength, I suggest) or some pre-filled cartridges. From that point once you start vaping, re-juicing the carts, etc... and reading in this forum, things start making sense. You will find at that point of understanding your next step in what to buy or what you like and want out of vaping. Juices are really the investment. So start with small bottles of juice 3 to 5 ml bottles when you order. Because there will be alot of juice you order that you will not like the flavor, happens to every newbie. I have only 3 flavors out of 12 that I like, so next week I will be making juice orders again. Good luck

OMG! This thing is amazing! I only figured out how to use the carts with the atomizer. I have cartos to learn to use as well as a drip tip. How many drops do I put in the cartridges and how long will it last?

For me it's around 18 drops. I might add some during the day occasionally but, not nearly as often as with a cart. Can't ay how long it'll last.

Thanks Mickey and sas.
Next question(s)...
I got my juice (all pg) from LF when I ordered the Riva. I haven't tried any other juice yet although I have ordered some with pg/vg mix. The pg I got from LF is ok, but the flavor isn't very strong. It's like there isn't much flavor there at all. Anyone know how LF juice compares with other juices? Im looking forward to the vg mix since the all pg makes me cough a little like I did when I first started smoking analogs. Also, the LF pg hit feels a little too light. (Im using cartomizer now. Do not really like the cartridges)

Your thoughts?
