Hi and welcome.
You are interesting.... and asks interesting questions...

Does it really help?

The moment you start vaping, are already not smoking.

The catch here is, does he want to quit smoking analogs? Or does he wanna quit the Nic addiction?
It is a different thing altogether... and no one can anwer on his behalf.

Does it really help?

I think you already know....

Did for me. Ecigs replace the nicotine, hand-to-mouth movement, while substituting the smoke for vapor. The only real challenge is if his close friends all smoke as well.

I think like u said, the real challenge is when his friends smoke. He has a neighbour who smokes so they tend to smoke together. I kinda think the presence of that neighbour is an obstacle to him quitting... :(

Thanks to all for the replies! My bf is currently trying to quit smoking. He doesnt smoke much. Less than 5 sticks a day now. But even before he tried tomquit, i dun think he exceeded 10 sticks a day either. Not really a heavy smoker. But he tried quitting a few times, failed, mostly due to exam stress.. And exams are coming again...

Would the e-cig help better in quitting analogs or nicotine? Im guessing the answer is analogs since it kinda resembles the analog? But is it possible to help quit the nicotine addiction too with e-cigs?

From what I gather, your bf needs distraction more than nic...
It is possible to get unhooked on nic, it takes some effort to wean it down to 0, and use 0nic juice from there.

I can easily go through 1.5-2 packs/day. Now, am down to 5/day max. And that's only when I'm at work.

On my off days, 0 fags. I'd rather vape. Yeah, that's my preferred nic delivery system now. :vapor:

I think i have to agreeabt the distraction part. When he is busy with stuffs, he doesnt smoke. Just that when he takes a break, sian, nothing to do, stress etc etc. he would feel like smoking.. But is vaping very different from smoking? The feeling, taste and whatever. Lol. I got mpno idea wat is feels like to smoke. =x easy to switch from smoking to vaping?

Different folks; Different strokes.

What's for me, may not be for him.

Generally, most won't be lookin back at analogs once they discovered vape.

Sounds great! Im pretty certain e-cig would work for my bf. or so i hope. Lol. He is really trying hard to quit, but just cant seem to succeed. But smoking less than 5 a day is quite little right?

All else aside, i have a bigger problem now! Wat e-cig should i get for him? Lol. So many different models, different terms. Mind boggling! Any recommendations for new users? Prob not too expensive. Lol..
