Hello to all. This is my first post.

I have been using e-cigs for 2 weeks now. I have not smoked an analog in 5 days. While I have heard about e-cigs for some time I had never tried them. A relative was using a BluCig and a light went on in my head. I purchased one. 2 days later I bought my first starter kit. It is the Choice 7's brand from a local tobacco store. Being my first venture onto this realm I have discovered there are so many companies selling e-cigs. So far I am content with the 7"s. I have spent a little over $150 but I am set up for at least the next 2 months. I immediately purchased a 30ml bottle of e-liquid in the medium nicotine level, along with the starter kit, but have just bought another bottle of the high level. I like the stronger throat hit. I have read numerous posts here and think that I will not be a hobbyist. I enjoy smoking, now vaping, though I plan to eventually quit completely. I probably could quit today.

I smoked a pack a day for nearly 40 years. The past 2 years I have been smoking the American Spirit natural/organic brand. With those I no longer had that morning kick from mt first smoke of the day. Still had the smell, mess and daily smokers hack. Here in Georgia they cost as much a $6 a pack. I have already figured I will cut my cost at least in half. My wife likes the idea of the savings, as I also do. It is great not smelling like a cigarette, sleeping better, my vison does not fluctuate day to day (my glasses were worthless many days), more energy and just feel more alert in general.

I have not seen many posts here regarding the 7's but I have not spent a lot of time browsing the forums. Anyone else use them?

I figure e-cigs are not much different than guitars, except you cannot smoke them, at least not in the sense meant here. There are so many brands and people have their opinions of their favorte axe but it comes down to what you like. I may eventually try another brand but have found one that meets my desires and needs.

Congrats on quitting and welcome to the neighborhood! You're right most folks get pretty loyal to their favorites, but at least on this forum people are not trying to tear each other down over what the others choose to use. It's like it should be, people celebrating with each other and not really caring excessively about the minor details like brands and focussing on the importance of supporting each other. Happy vaping!

Thanks. What I like and what other like are just that. For example, I use a Linux computer OS, most don't and that is fine with me. It meets my needs. I won't preach my choices but will speak of why I use what I use if asked.

I look forward to receiving many answered questions and tips on this forum.

A warm welcome to you 73ckn797 and kudos for getting off the stinkies. Glad you found something you like. Have a question -- ask away as there are some very knowledgeable folks on here.
Thanks for the welcome. Being so new to e-cigs I almost don't know what to ask. As I mentioned before, I am using the Choice 7's brand but have not found a lot of people commenting about them. I guess they are a decent brand. I like them. If I don't completely quit I am sure that I will end up going to another brand. I see a lot about eGo and from searching around it seems that most Atlanta area shops sell them. I will have to wait a while since I have already spent nearly $200 on the 7's kit, extra battery, e-liquid, blank cartridges, USB pass through battery, charging case and 2 atomizers. It would be nice to know if there are any other compatible brands. I have seen comments that the 7's are an eGo clone. Don't know whether that is really the case or whether I can transition from 7's to eGo with some initial compatibility between the two.

Welcome! I've never tried the Choice 7's but if they are working for you then by all means stick with it. As they say "if it ain't broken don't fix it". I did browse the Choice 7's website and it appears that the Hybrid battery is an eGo clone and the standard batteries appear to be standard cig-a-like batteries. I didn't see technical specs on the batteries but you can check compatibility easy enough if you know someone using a Blu, such as your relative. Try to screw a Blu cartridge3 into your battery and see if it will fit. Don't force it obviously or you could damage the battery or the cartridge. If it will fit it will screw on easily. If it does fit then your batteries have a standard 510 threading and will be compatible with many devices out there.

I have since basically quit using the 7's. I did find out the threads are not 510 but 301. Very rare though the Atmos brand uses that size as well as the 510 threads. I did find a 510 to 301 adapter so I can use eGo clearomizers with the 7's hardware.

I now am using 2 eGo 900Mah batteries and have collected 10 different clearomizers, several with replaceable wicks.

Settled into a NET tobacco flavor from: Natural Flavored Juices : Natural Flavored House Extracted Tobacco

Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids

I also like the 7's Tobacco flavor at 18mg nic. A bit pricey from their website but several local stores save me 7-8 dollars on a 30Ml bottle.
