Hi my girlfriend got me a 'SKYCIG' for christmas, and i got a sample pack containing 5 flavours, i have used it quite abit and now two of the flavours have stopped giving out vapour and one im not getting much vapour when i drag on it, does this mean they are empty and the third is becomming empty, also im looking at trying a few new flavours and filling them up myself with e-liquid, do i need new 'cartrages' or can i refill my empty ones, also ive seen theese different ends will they fit my sky cig and do they give better vapour output than the standard skycig ones? im abit confused with it all so any help would be greatly appreciated.... many thanks

I'm not familiar with that particular brand and what kind of connections it has is it 510 or 901 or 808? You can refill them when they are empty just don't suck them dry otherwise the filler can burn and you get a burnt taste even after refilling them. There are adapters you can get to use different cartomizers or clearomizers with your battery. If you like your set up I suggest googling it and seeing what other people who use it have to say. Also the website that sells them should have some info that would be helpful. I'm sure you'll get more responses on here as well.

I am new also and I see you must be in the U.K. from the link. Not sure what type of battery threading that is, if you have any friends that vape you may be able to try one of their cartomizers to see if it fits, or maybe someone with more knowledge may post with the type of threading SkyCig uses. As for refilling, if it has an small insert at the mouth end, you may be able to remove that with a paper clip and drip juice down the side to refill it, just avoid getting it in the center hole. Maybe check youtube for videos about this model. Best of luck to you.

Your carto is empty.

The great things about clearomizers, you can SEE how much eLiquid you have at all times.

No need to apologize I should have explained that better in the first place. Your lack of knowledge does not make for stupidity by the way. Those numbers refer to the threads on the end of your batteries. You will hear that a cartomizer is 510 threaded or a battery has a 510 connection ect.... I will let you know that there are many types of e cigs out there. Some are better than others. If this one is working good for you that's awesome. A lot of people will recommend that if you really want to quit the tobacco smokes you should get something that doesn't look like a cigarette at all. A popular product is the ego just Google that term and you will find all kinds of great info on vapping. There are tons of you tube videos on how to refill empty cartomizers. A cartomizer as you vape will.let you know it is getting empty by not producing as much vapor or you may notice a harsher taste. Also as your battery loses its charge that can also affect the vapor production.

Just order some e liquid in some flavors you think you will like. Get the smallest bottles you can at 1st to avoid getting stuck with big bottles of liquid you don't like. Welcome to the ECF:) Your girlfriend did a great thing getting you started. You can refill those carts quite a few times before they go bad. You will likely end up buying something bigger soon enough but you should have fun with what you have right now.

Bigger battery, longer it will last. I don't know about skycig, but I'm sure the volts are low, and you might like a higher voltage. More vapor get a higher Vg to Pg ratio, (70/30?). It all comes down to more research. And planing for the future.

Just look into a ego style 650 VV for the battery, with a clearomizer, it would be about the size of a cigar.

If the skycig is 510, think about not staying with carto's and go to clearo, some know how much juice you have, making things easier, also they are much easier to refill

Lots of information on this site, just gotta look... Also check out the vendors sites, and look at starter kits to give u more ideas.

What works for one person isn't always the best for everyone else, I only recommend what I like, to try to help.

When the vapor production runs out, then your cartomizers need to be topped off. just pop the cap off and drip it into the filler, NOT into the center air tube. It can be a slow process, especially with thicker juices. You want to keep doing this, 2 - 3 drops at a time, until it has a glistening sheen on top of the filler. It's best to do this with the cartomizer off the battery in case it does leak out, otherwise you could ruin your battery. Cartomizers usually last a week or two depending on how often you refill them. Thankfully they're pretty cheap. The bad thing about cartomizers is there is a lot of guesswork involved when it comes time to refill them. The good thing about cartomizers is they are sturdy and reliable, they rarely break or leak. I always have one or two on hand for a back up.

510 and 808 refer to thread types on the connections. An 808 is a female thread on the cartomizer and a male thread on the battery, the 510 is the reverse. There are other thread types out there, but these are the most common. From a quick Google search it appears the Sky Cig is a 510, but don't quote me on that. Get your post count up to 5 and you can ask in the UK sub-forum further down. Hopefully someone will have an answer for you.

Good luck!

I started with a 900mah ego battery starter kit with a clearomizer it came with everything I needed to get started including e liquid. It wasn't to big and lasted me all day. If you search UK e cig vendors I'm sure you'll find one with a kit that will fit your needs I use DiscountVapers and MadVapes two decent USA vendors with decent prices and great customer service.

Clearomizer is clear, see thru
Cartomizer you can't see thru

It goes much deeper then that, and those rules are not in stone, (the Phoenix cartomizer is see thru, and I like it, just not as easy to refill as a clearomizer)

I think new people to PV should start with clearomizer because its easy

People are directing you to buy an Ego and soon you probably will LOL. If you were asking what to start with we would probably all recommend the ego but you already have what you have so just take some time and learn what you do and don't like about the skycig. We all thought the huge e cigs looked funny at 1st too but after you charge and recharge your batteries constantly you will want something that holds a longer charge. That's where the size ends up getting bigger and bigger. I am a chain vaper. I use one of the biggest set ups around but I have batteries that go inside of it that last 2 days at a time and they last my best friend 4 days. It is a huge set up but I only have to fill the liquid and change the battery once every 2 days. Good luck on your new adventure and just have fun and never be afraid to ask questions here. We love to help out.

If the SKYCIG is a 510 connection, then you have plenty of options. Also the Ego suggestion was a good one, they have a 510 connection, so you could use the same delivery system on both. With the Ego you can get a single passthrough battery fairly cheap, this way you don't have to buy an entire kit. Then you can try some cheap cartomizers, I did Boge 510 XL 2 ohm, work good on the Ego, cheap, refillable.
A passthrough will let you charge the battery from your computer, most will allow you to vape while charging. Joyetech passthroughs do and so do many others, just make sure you don't get stuck with one of the odd balls that do not allow you to vape and charge at the same time.

See the problem with the cigarette looking e cigs is that the batteries are not real strong and don't hold a charge for long that's why they come with the charging box. Most people find that these don't satisfy their needs it depends on how much you smoked regular tobacco cigs. If you are a pack a day smoker then and ego set up would be the best place to start. Most starter kits come with everything you need to get up and running. Most of the sites have reviews from customers and you can also find vendor reviews right here on ecf.
