Hi all,

I've been looking around these forums for awhile now and just getting some info, I'm new to e-smoking and was wondering if I could get some advice.

First of all, I'm Australian and I've just recently ordered some Gamucci Continental Disposable E-Cigarettes to try them out before I commit to anything, They haven't arrived yet but I can't wait to try them out, I'm fairly certain I'll buy more but I'm trying these out first just in case.

After I try them out I think I'll start looking into a starter kit however there are a few things I'm after.

-I'm looking for e-cigarettes that look as close to the real thing as possible, same size, colour, no blue/green LEDs, etc.
-I'm not sure about tobacco or Menthol, I think Menthol sounds more appealing as I've never been a big fan of tobacco, I like the idea of trying all the different flavours, particularly coffee.
-As I mentioned, I'm Australian so I'd like to buy from somewhere that ships to Australia at a reasonable price.
-I'm after a decent kit that maybe comes with a few different flavours, additional parts, a nice case with a USB charger, etc.
-I'm not fussed about the brand, as long as they're decent quality and reasonably priced I don't care.

I hope I don't sound too picky, I'm probably looking for something too specific.
But if anyone here can point me in the right direction and suggest some models/brand/websites then that would be very helpful.:)

Thanks in advance, hopefully I can fit in and become a regular here at the ECF forums in the future. :)

Just remember that there are no Ecigs on earth that look like a real cigarette that will provide realistic vapor production equal to and analog. I dont want to see you be let down when you get a little Ecig and cant get it to do what you expected it to do.

LOL! so true (and another opportunity to link my fav video about it...)

dock is right, on the cig size ones you have to take a long slow drag in order to get a descent 'throat hit' (unless you smoke lites), but if that's what you're after the v4l kits will do but you may want to consider the 510, it's as far as I can tell the most popular connection, and if battery life becomes an issue for you, you can upgrade to larger batteries or mods that will be compatible with all the stuff you already own.

Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

A few suggestions:

1. Go to Liberty Flights.com. They ship "down under". Click on the 20% off button.
2. Get manual batteries NOT auto batteries. Better performance, better control
3. Start out with 24mg nicotine strength eliquid. You can always make it weaker but you can't make it stronger. Most need more nicotine strength to make the transition.
4. At a minimum get a Riva or eGo 510 or 901 starter kit or an e-power kit (madvapes.com) with a little better battery. You will be much more satisfied than the small devices that look like an analog unless you like changing batteries every hour. They are the size of a slim cigar.

Good Luck, Mate.

Thanks for the reply guys. :)
I know I'll never find anything that looks 100% like an analog, I'm just after something that looks like a traditional with red/orange LEDs.

I've been having a look at Premium E-Cigarettes (Electronic Cigarette | Electric Cigarette | E Cigarette Starter Kits - PremiumECigarette.com) And I'm very happy with their stuff, I've looked at a few reviews also and they seem like exactly what I'm after.

I think I'll get a nice starter kit from there and then look for a cheaper alternative for buying cartridges in the future as their shipping costs are a ......

Also, another question, are cartridges reusable? Am I able to keep reusing them and adding new drips? Kinda hard to understand how they work, I know the Premium brand ones are a 2-piece set with the atomizer built in.

If you get a pv that looks almost exactly like a real cig (and some do come very close) especially with a red LED its likely to cause problems if you use it in places where smoking is not allowed....just a word of cauton there.

I'll second that!!!
Also, ready to think of a battery charger as your best friend if you are a mobile person.

Hi and welcome to ECF. There are a bunch of vendors locally here in Australia that can supply you with a good starter kit, including all of the spares that you might wish for or want. The only thing that you cannot get locally is the nic juice which you will need to get from either China or the US. There are a couple of place both in China and the States who ship to Australia. SHipping is typically around 10 days or so if you use EMS.

You may also wish to get everything from OS in your first order so that you have it all together, but that is a choice that you will need to make. For further info or advice on the Aussie vendors and vaping scene, do a search for the Aussie vapors forum, pop in and say hi.

All the best

I was going to avoid Australian suppliers since they didn't actually provide the nicotine, but that sounds like a much cheaper option.
Are there any Australian suppliers you'd recommend?

I just bought that kit. It's actually a KR808D-1 so look for it elsewhere. It's a little expensive there compared to other places. But performance wise it's has been holding up good for me.

Hello and welcome. The most important thing is you get what you want and what you think fits you best. Pick something and go with it. Once you begin the journey of vaping you can experiment more. The first vaporizer I bought was cigarette like and now it's a backup. But I still use it. And I have never regretted that I bought it.

Just get started and enjoy. Hope you really enjoy those Gamucci Continental Disposable E-Cigarettes.
