Hello to all you fellow vapers out there. Been browsing the threads here for awhile and picking up some good info. If only I'd found this sooner. Would have saved a lot of grief. My wife and I quit smoking and started vaping on New Years this year. I haven't had a cigarette since. My wife has slipped up a couple times and smoked a couple packs. First e-cig was one of those free deals where you pay 4.95 shipping and handling. Didn't realize I was signing up for a subscription for cartridges every month. However I used a gift card to purchase it and by the time the first round came up, the card was empty. Needless to say, they canceled my membership. Bought 4 (I think they were 801 style) kits from a company in China for $6.50 each kit. The kit contained 1 battery, atomizer, 5 carts, usb charger and a/c adapter. Quality wasn't very good and they didn't last long. Now we are both vaping with ego 510's. Having limited success with making our own juice to save money. Got a gallon of P/G USP from Tractor Supply (a farming supply company). Apparently they use it for cattle. Get 8 oz bottles of V/G USP from the local grocery/drug store and flavors there too. All our e-juice is nic free. Can't buy that locally, but don't mind not having it.

Guess I should say I was a pack and a half a day smoker for 46 years and my wife smoked 3 packs or more for longer than that. Much better now, we don't have that annoying hacking cough all the time. Sense of smell and taste is definitely different. Some things smell and/or taste better and some worse. Hard to find good apple cider now. lol

Had surgery to remove a cancerous mass from my right kidney and am out of work. Wife is retired on Social Security. We order cartomizers monthly to keep up our vaping. Have a few more surgeries scheduled to clean the old smoke from my arteries over the next few months and maybe I'll be able to get back to work then.

In the mean time, thanks much for all the good info and I'll try and respond in kind. Already spend hours in the forum. Time for me to give back.

Happy Vaping,
Frank
