Yes I've recently tried that with no luck, different cartos different mod to put on (Twist). I too have talked to previous vamo owner whom works at my local vape shop who said that, that chip in the vamo can break easily causing it to fluctuate in power delivery as well as ohm readings, which makes total sense when the average cost for a vamo v2 happens to be around $35.... Like I said in my previous post.... You get what you pay for.

I don't get it, did you try your cartos on a different mod and they worked fine with no burning, thus determining it IS the vamo that is the issue? Or did you try your cartos on another mod and had the same issue, meaning it WASN'T the vamo causing the problem?

Here's another thought, have you tried giving the center pin on your vamo a good cleaning? Maybe there is juice/gunk built up causing the vamo to inaccurately read the ohms of your coils, causing it to pulse more power through than it should.

Or, you could just decide your vamo is crap and move on, up to you I guess.

I tried the cartos on a different mod! the twist.

How exactly would I give a good cleaning? I've simply just been using a cotton swab up until this point.

Just to be completely clear here, you tried your cartos on a twist and didn't get any burnt taste?

Cleaning can be done with a q-tip and a little rubbing alcohol

trust me i know what wattage to fire at AS WELL AS how soaked my cartos need to be!!
standard rez i usually go between 11.5-13.0 watts, mind u I am using only 1 18350 battery... and I prime the cartos well enough.
Using a twist vs vamo isn't even comparable. Since the vamo was being run in watts and the twist is voltage.
Vamo = max 6v Twist = max 4.8v Average usage watts of 12watts on the vamo on a 2.8ohm (give or take) cartomizer = 5.8v

Either the vamo is overheating the cartomizers or the twist is underheating the cartomizers.

I'm having same issue. I primed a dct carto 2.0Ω and started vaping at 3.5 volts. It tastes burnt. This is my 3rd carto I've blown through. Others were a 1.8Ω and 1.6Ω. Ι'm going to try my other Vamo now to see if I'm getting same problem.
I've always started vaping on a lower voltage/watt first, as I don't want to ruin my cartos and juice. I'm pretty much confused as to what is going on as I had no problems with all other cartos prior to these. Juice tasted so good, and was vaping really well. I know what icyice is going through.

not sure if this will be helpful or not, but since I got my vamo I've gotten into the habit of checking the resistance of my atty constantly. I use an RBA so I'm always worried something will shift, or whatever will happen, and throw things off, AND since I run my vamo in watts mode, if it did shift it's possible the vamo would just automatically adjust the power to what it thinks I want it to be.

Point being: do you check the resistance of your cartos on the vamo prior to using them and while using them? I know it would be very odd for a carto to change resistance, but it could be the connection to the vamo, or the vamo itself that is a bit wonky.
