Hello I'm fairly new to the site (I've been lurking and reading for a week or two) and about 2 months into vaping. I was smoking 2-2 1/2 packs of analogs a day for almost 21 years. The day I got my Joytech 510-T and starting vaping I haven't picked up an analong smoke since. I have my likes and dislikes about the 510-T but money limits what I can do (as for most people). I'm hoping to learn as much as possible to making vaping even better.

I've noticed that pretty much every part is replacable which will be nice, I'm in the process of cleaning the only 2 atomizers I have right now since they're next to impossible to actually pull through. I've tried everything I've read on the forums and also baking soda and vinigar with no luck so far so I"m about to pull one of them from a baking soda and vinigar bath and dry it to see if it worked.

Welcome Josh! I too was a smoker of 22 years, I use the silver bullet. I had been using an ego as well and put some money away to purchase the silver bullet. I love it!! A couple of my bosses at work purchased the EGO W. Its not messy at all. You fill the tank inside with your liquid and it gives you around 500 puffs. The only thing that I saw as a drawback is that you cannot change liquids unless you have a few of the tanks already filled and then its just a matter of changing that. I love dripping whatever liquid I want. I change often so as to not get burnt out of one flavor or another. There are quite a few places you can get this Ego W.. around 55-60 bucks us dollars. I highly recommend it for value and low price. and perhaps someday you could get the silver bullet as it is one of my favorites.

I'm definately looking for an upgrade, probably sooner than later considering I just checked my atomizer that has been soaking and drying overnight and it no longer heats up. So now I'm down to 1 atomizer that's almost not usable since it's so hard to pull through. Granted it's my own fault since I didn't know squat about cleaning them 2 months ago when I started vaping, but I'm hoping I can get the last one cleaned out. Unfortunately I have automatic batteries so I can't really do a dry burn and since it's the 510-T it has that tube that sticks up in the middle of the addy to puncture the tank. I've been filling the addy with baking soda and then adding a drop or two of vinigar and plugging the tank side with my finger to force it out the bottom of the addy but I haven't found anything else that has worked. Any ideas?

I only use attys for testing new juices but a friend who uses attys swears by this video:

and here's the water boil method:

there are so many videos on youtube for cleaning methods! There are videos on youtube to keep you busy for months regarding the e cigs! I try to watch as many as I can fit in my schedule as there are even so many types of e cigs, atomizers, cartomizers, mods, batteries, NAME IT! I love Vaping so I want to learn everything I can!! Since I am new to the forums here I do not know how to share some of the videos I have watched.

not sure where you get things but I found a place where (if you have about 50 bucks) you can get 10 1.5LR atomizers! Yea, you have to buy 10 at a time but if you know anyone else that vapes you could certainly go in halves and split em! Saves ya some time and money as I found buying them singles you spend 8-15 bucks and then shipping.

it would help if I told you where, haha, good grief. I get a day off and my brain turns to mush. VaporKings.com, got my silver bullet from Altsmoke.com and my liquids from dfwvapor and awesome vapor, Puresmoker.com Has the BEST ever "firecracker" tonic. So far, those are the only places I have tried the e-liquid!

I actually just got home and couldn't find the alcholol (going to keep looking though), but i did manage to find a couple cartomizers that seem to work. Now I have to read up more on cartomizers to find a way to keep them from leaking between the cartomizer and the battery, Since i have the 510-T there are small grooves around the washer at the top of the battery (granted I did overfill it but it was the first time so I learned something). I'm wondering if plugging those would hurt anything, Unfortunately I only have automatic batteries at the moment.

Those holes between the battery and the cart are the vents that allow air to pass through.
Pretty sure blocking them would kill your draw completely.

If juice is coming out of there, you probably overfilled it.
Take off the Cart. Blow the excess juice out of the cart/atomizer and wipe the connections down with a clean tissue, some alcohol ...

That's what I though so I got it all cleaned up, However I did notice the noob mistake I made and got dual coil cartomizers lol my stock 220mah bat is dying in about 5 mins lol. Oh well live and learn I guess. It just sucks that there is nowhere around me that I know of that really sells much in the line of esmoke parts.
