Noalox is good for aluminum connections, but I wonder if one of the DeOxit products might be useful?

Then there are the flashlight enthusiasts who use non-conducting silicone on the threads...Nyogel 760 and Superlube grease seem popular according to a poll on the candlepower forum.

I haven't used anything yet, but should probably do so soon since I take PVs and flashlights out on the salt water fairly often.

ETA: I mean useful for our brass/chrome and stainless steel PVs.

hey all, new to ECF, any one know how to improve these chinese mod threads? IE Vamo. They are driving me crazy.
I've heard some people use silicon tape, or perhaps a lubricant?

I use a Vamo and don't have the problem you described. I am careful however when I attached my carto. But to ease your mind, you could use an adapter like this:

V2 510 Shorty Extension- Unsealed
