New to forum and vaping

Hey all, I've been a smoker far too long, and finally decided to quit. A buddy of mine is big into vaping and spent some time showing me different kits, explaining how they work, etc. Well, I bought in and got an Icon from puresmoker.com. Definitely not the cheapest out there, but I really like it, and at the rate I was smoking cigarettes, hell it'll be paid for in a month. I found this forum while browsing through my tap-a-talk app, and have to say I'm looking forward to learning all I can about vaping, and trying different things.

I got a few different juices with my ICON, but haven't tried them yet. At the same time, at the suggestion of my friend, I ordered backwoods brew maple tobacco and Casablanca. I have been vaping those since I got them. Awesome stuff! Eventually, I will venture out from the tobacco flavorings, but for now, I'm really liking these.

As far as switching from cigs, I am already feeling better. Should have done this a long time ago.

Another side benefit. My wife says I don't stink like an ashtray any more. Translate that however you like, but I'm really liking the results! ;-)

Thanks. Although I never smoked indoors, I sometimes did in my car (which my wife refuses to drive). Up until recently I could smoke in the common areas at work, but they abolished that except for very specific outdoor places (out of the public eye, etc.) a few months ago. Can't even smoke in bars around here anymore.

One bad thing, a local ordinance has been proposed to ban vaping as well. WTF? I can understand smoking bans... 2nd hand smoke bothers people. I get that. Vaping doesn't bother anybody. Why the big stink about it?

Long story short.....people are ignorant....and the FDA hasn't approved them, and has made several attempts at trying to stop shipments from overseas, but the courts have knocked them down....of course, its all about being able to hit us in the wallet with taxes....etc....you know the drill....lamo Fda is just pissy cause all of the ingredients that are in ecigs are already regulated(nic) and the other stuff is all food grade.....hehehe
