New to forum, have a question about amp output on EMOW battery.

Hello everyone, I started with vapes in January, but I just started expanding into new aspects such as making my own ejuice and RDAs. I ordered a cheap rda from SmokTech sometimes called "the octopus" so I could test flavors easily in case I need to tweak them. The vape I have is a KangerTech EMOW. I've searched forever but cannot find the maximum output on the EMOW battery (this is the battery I'll be using on the SmokTech). I have found that the EMOW clearomizer uses 1.5 ohms resistance, so would I be fine just using the same resistance on the SmokTech? I have the automizer, a multimeter, 30 gauge kanthal, cotton, and an rda toolkit. If I knew the output I'd be able to figure it out using a calc, but I haven't found anything! If anyone knows where I can find this information or knows another method of safely setting up an RDA on this battery let me know. I know it has some level of protection on the battery, but I'd rather know the power I'm working with if I ever get into mech mods.

Thanks

Yes, since the EMOW clearomiser can use a 1.5 ohm Kanger coil, you can build a 1.5 ohm coil and it will be safe to your on your battery. Try emailing KangerTech to find out the amp limitation of your EMOW. I too looked online and could not find anything either -- not even a user manual.

Good luck!

Try to figure out the most amps that can be drawn from the battery safely. Not sure if there is a better word or phrase for this. I've been binging on vape information and the terminology isn't sorted out in my head yet. :)

Amp limitation = the most amps that can be drawn from the battery safely.

If your battery is authentic you shouldn't be worried. They come with short circuit protection and they will not exceed the safety limits.

You just need to be careful if it starts getting hot if you are chain vaping.

Amp limitation. I will use this.

Yeah I knew it had protection. I just want to use precautions as if it didn't have protection, just to get used to it.

And I have had the vape heat up a bit when chain vaping. At that point should I just stop and let it cool down? That was using all factory parts, but at 4.8 V. Usually I stick with 3.7 V.

Don't go above 9Watts and you should be pretty safe. When the battery is getting hot you should let it rest for a minute.

9 watts? I get 2.47 amps at 3.7 volts, which gives me 9.13 watts. At 4.8 V I get 15.36 Watts and that is all factory. Do you mean just to take precaution and not let my battery get too hot?

If you are chain vaping with "original" coils at that wattage you need to be careful because you will damage the coil. You can burn it. It will also increase battery temperature and damage it.

Alright thanks for the help!

No problem. I also use those coils because I rebuild mine but I still can't seem to find a good wick. It always tastes bad.

At home I use MVP V2 but when I go out I take those batteries. If I'm drinking with friends I'm vaping very fast and the battery gets a bit hot so sometimes I just let it rest for a bit.

Yeah I'm really loving it as travel vape. I want to get into mech mods or nicer RDAs but those seems like too much work to do while I'm out or at a party. Don't really want to be refilling every couple of hits. I also like vaping while I make my commute so the emow has been working great for me.

Originally bought the smoktech RDA to test e juices with but now I'm wanting to get some more stuff and it is ultimately not safe for my wallet.
