I want to say hello and thank you for having such a wonderful, informative and extensive site.
I have enjoyed many of the topics so far.

Little about me:
I am 43. smoked 2 to 2 1/2 packs for the last 22 years. I just started vaping 3 weeks ago becuase I got sick with bronchitis. Went to hospital with difficulty breathing and after x-rays and other test. Doc told me I had beginning stages of emphysema also. Doc suggested cold turkey or a E-cig. Was down for 3 weeks, could not work from difficulty with breathing. It has been 6 weeks now, since the news, and 6 weeks off ciggs (analogues?).
I was a skeptic of the e-cigs becuse of all the negative media hype and the cities here talking about bans. But wife went out while I was down and brought home a eGo T with a Marlboro juice, (which I found VERY nasty tasting haha). Anyways, didn't like it at all and after I got the strength to go to my local vape store and choose my own flavor, I found vaping very pleasant finally.
I feel more energetic now, less fatigue and breathing better from everyday movement then from ciggs just in 4-5 weeks or so.
I thank God and wife for finding me something to helping me leave ciggs behind.

I now own a Kamry k201 and Im looking for tank alternatives for my Kamry. Stock tank is nice, I think, but Im new and dont know any better. I love the voltage adjustment my Kamry has, but feel there maybe better tanks out there.

A lot of people seem to swear by the Aspire BDC.

I use Protanks and similar, with fairly good results - although the heads can be very much hit and miss.

Some people really like the IClear 30 as well, though I'm personally not so keen on them - they seem to eat juice at a ridiculous pace to me, and I don't find the vape much (if at all) better.

Welcome!

Welcome Grimmeute. Wow....great to hear your doctor mentioned an e-cig....maybe more docs will have this kind of response for an alternative to quit smoking.

I tried a lot of tanks and only wanted something hassle free. I too like the Aspire BDC. Heads can be a bit more expensive so I wait till I see a deal then buy a few packs at a time.

I do have a few of the Vision X.Jet BDC Nova and seem to like these even better then the Aspire's. The X.Jet is compatible with all the Vision Vivi Nova tank bodies, so you can easily change the color or style of your X.Jet!

Both the X.Jet and Aspire's use the same coils. The only difference is that the Aspire's are glassomizers and can handle any e-liquid ( cinnamon, citrus, ect ).

Thx for your replies. Been looking into your suggested tanks getting reviews and such.
Again, Thx.

Welcome to ecf. glad to hear you are feeling better after getting rid of those stinkies.
The hype about all the bad stuff about ecigs is just that--hype. Studies have been and are being done by scientists and show vaping is much less harmful than cigarettes will ever be.
For the results of the research you can start by clicking on the CASAA link in my signature and look under the blog section. CASAA and the reports are free and offer the truth in science.

The best thing any of us can do is educated ourselves and stop listening to all the lies being spewed in the media.

As for some good tanks, I too enjoy the Aspire line of tanks. They are easy to use and can last a long time and you can clean the heads and reuse them. Look for eGo-s style(glass) aspire tanks. Or even Kanger protank 2 and protank2 minis. those are good also.

Good luck and glad you found us.

:)

Thx for the info, that new study on the home page of CASAA helps ease the mind a lot with vaping for me.

Welcome to the forum. I am new, too, and enjoying the information and support of all the members.

What a sweet, smart wife you have, that she went and bought you a kit! She wants to keep you around for a while!

Glad you are feeling better, and I wish you success in this new journey.

PS - Also a special welcome, as I'm a fellow Okie. Can't believe our governor just banned e cigs on all state property. But Oklahoma is such a conservative state, I'm really not surprised.

Yes It is a shame Bugg. Just 2 days ago I seen a front page local news paper saying my county I live in, are talking bans on all ecigs

I'm sorry to hear that. There are so many places now that you can't smoke analog cigarettes already. I just try to look at it like that. I couldn't smoke in those places anyway. So far, it looks like wherever you are allowed to "smoke tobacco" you can still use e cigs.

I love living in Oklahoma for many reasons, but the "sin laws" drive me crazy. Look how long it took for us to get "Liquor by the drink." And nothing has much changed for the worse since we did. Except the bootleggers went out of business, lol.:)
