New to Genesis need help

I found out my B&M shop had the mini AGA-S in stock for $20. So I ran down and grabbed one. Thought it would be a good start in to the world of genesis attys. He set up my first wick and coil and off I went. Well I was getting a metallic and at a suggestion of another member. He said it was from not burning the kenthal. so I recoiled it this morning and the tails is all gown. The problem im having is the tails is completely gown my juice is vary vary muted and not a lot a vapor ether. what did I do wrong. I have no hot spots the coil burns even (4 wraps) not sure what else there is to check.

i think that means the *taste* is all *gone*, referrign to the metallic taste.

im not an rba pro, but i do have a couple of em and ive experienced some of the same problems. OP, what i would do is try to make a new wick. yours doesnt seem to be wicking properly. perhaps make a wick using less mesh, allowing for more jucie to get fed to the coil.

unfortunately, folks have been having issues with the AGA-S. apparently the thickness top plate restricts proper jucie flow. visit the RBA subforum for more help on this. this thread will probably get moved there eventually anyway. lots of helpful folks over there.

yes they are the same except for the tank style as a matter of fact ANY genesis is the same in how it works so just look for info on mesh wicks and wire wrapping its all the same system.

sounds like the coil is not heating evenly, you have to make sure the tank is empty before looking for hot spots they will not show when wet.
Also top or bottom coils glowing is a hot spot and usually means the wraps are loose.

Disturbed, do you happen to know what size kanthal wire was used? Also what battery mod is the AGA on? I would recommend:
Removing the coil
Pulling out the wick rinsing it off and then coating it in VG and lighting it on fire till it burns out 3 times then reinsert wick with a straightened paper clip inside
Wrap a 30g 5/6 or 4/5 coil
Pulse fire the coil at low volts and watch for and correct hot spots until all coils glow evenly.

Vape to perfection

Im using a twist and a spinner. 32g was used with a 3/4 wrap and I redid it to a 4/5 this morning and vaping at 4v. The vapor production is better but still not much flavor

Well there is the answer then. Ego/twist/spinner type batteries do not have the current draw capacity to adequately power a genesis. I also don't think they are considered safe either. A superb option is a telescope mod with AW IMR batteries and is reasonably priced. Any mod like a z or vmax or something similar will also work well.
