So guys I've switched to a rta. So for heavy vapers, how long is the estimated coil burnt?
Depends on the wire, with regular kanthal I've used a build for several weeks, nichrome80 doesn't seems to last as long to me vs kanthal, ni200 can get mangled easily re-wicking so I've had that last the least amount of time for me, Ti can last a long time if you clean it when you rewick, I have only been using SS430 since yesterday, so I'm not sure how long that will hold up. YMMV depending on your build, and juice.
I'll usually just re-wick the Gmini about once a week (I don't use the Gmini exclusively), probably 50-60Mls through it, or when I want to change flavors.

I have had a coil last for three months. Once the vape tastes off I pull out the cotton and dry burn the coil and rewick. I rewick every 3-4 fills of the tank.
U mean even when your coil is black it still wont taste funny?
I change coils when they look less than ideal. It depends on juice and usage, but generally once a month. Sometimes sooner and sometimes I can go longer. I'm not going to scrub my coils all the time when it takes 2 minutes to put new ones in![]()
You're lucky. With my duprodens contracture in three fingers installing a coil in a Kayfun without post holes it takes me a good 10-15 minutes to trap the leads under the screw heads.
My fingers are healthy and it used to take me at least that long. No matter what I did I always wished I had a third hand, until I picked up screws that were flat. Made things easier, but still far from perfect. I'll take a tiny deck like the Goblin's over a Kayfun any day. Watching videos of people rebuilding a Kayfun in five minutes from start to finish used to really piss me off. You're lucky. Yep, and eventually I'll be in your boat. I have a DP contracture in my right hand. Its near the top of the main tendon for my middle finger. It got smaller and hasn't done anything for about 2 years now. I don't know what its future plans are![]()

Very sorry to hear that Roxy. DC is no fun. My Duprodens Contracture was caused by my 12 pound fierce Min Pin Moku.
I was getting over a broken arm and my arm was still very weak. To control Moku's field of movement I was holding the leash over the back of my left hand. Moku took off like a bat out of hell. The leash slid up my very weak left arm over my hand and got trapped under a ring and within a week or 10 days my middle ring and little fingers were curled up into a permanent half fist.
So technically I have 1 1/2 hands. This problem is often called Duprodens Contracture or Viking hand.
There IS ONE positive. At least my hand doesn't hurt until I have to force those fingers open to trim the finger nails. But allow them to close again and the pain goes away in a little while.
Former senator BOB Dole had DC from an injury in the military.
I don't know why I have it. Just one day there was a pea sized lump on my palm. Mine does cause pain even though they usually don't. Might be heredity...my grandmother has it.
Be glad you don't have my dog. She's a 100lb Cane Corso.
