There's plenty of recipes posted to keep you from getting bored. I have probably 50 or more single flavor mixes already and most flavors need something else with them to be good enough to want to make again, but you don't know what to add if you don't know what each individual flavor tastes like. Every chance I get I mix a single that I haven't tried but most times I will also make a recipe from ECF posts that sounds good. I will usually end up tweaking them to suit my taste, but it gives me something to vape and work on while I'm learning the flavors that I have. Best advice I can give you is don't do like I did and order every flavor under the sun. I'll still be tasting single flavors for months before I try all the flavors I thought I had to have:facepalm:

A lot of people with no chemistry training learn to do this, but they must learn some chemistry to do it correctly. In my opinion, you should understand the following terms and how they apply to this before starting: volume, mass, concentration, ratio, dilution.

There will be some math involved too. There are good calculator applications that will do the arithmetic for you, but you should know enough math to understand how the numbers affect what you will end up with. I recommend downloading at least one calculator and trying to make some imaginary mixes with it to ensure you understand how to do it.

A couple of stickies at the top of this subforum are important reading:

ECF users dannyv45 and Hoosier have blogs with lots of great info for beginners; reading those will save you asking many, many questions.

There are some flavors (often custards or tobaccos) that many times really don't come into their own until 2-3 (or more ) weeks of steeping. If you try some of these flavors soon after mixing, you might get disappointed. Try some flavors that can be "shake & vape" while waiting for those that benefit from aging. Often these can be single fruit flavor mixes of, for one example ...peach...(TPA Juicy peach or INW Peach or FA White Peach are good examples)

Having a few easy to get to links to click on to help learning can be a good idea.

For instance, to find some suggested starting flavor percentages to use (INW)

or to find out what many of the abbreviations I and others use mean...:)

Any suggestions on making e liquid, new ideas and some help getting started

Buy the smallest size flavors and smallest size nicotine from many different vendors and let your own judgement decide what works for you. Even if 100 people recommend something does not mean that YOU will like it. Searching and finding flavors we actually like can be frustrating but the actual mixing is easy. ;)

Very true indeed. Also remember ask 100 people a question and you will get 100 different answers. The only good weapon you have is common sence and the will to use it.
