So I received a new PCC from V4L in the mail today, and it's different from what I'm used to.

There's only one LED. Above that, where the PCC battery LED used to be, there's a push button to start the ecig battery charging process. It also has a tiny LCD readout that shows a little graphic of the PCC's battery charge level.

I'm puzzled choice to include push-button operation. With my previous PCC, I'd just screw in the ecig battery and it began charging immediately. With this new one, I have to hold down the button for a few seconds.. This seems like an added inconvenience to me, but I'd love to hear other thoughts about it.

I apologize if I'm months behind the curve and everyone has this figured out already.

Here it is...

Very similar to the usual PCC in outer dimensions and appearance, but you can see the left side has the LCD display (currently showing 2 out of 4 bars on the PCC's battery charge). Above that, the red LED (it's green when the ecig battery is charged) only comes on after pressing the button (located just above the red LED).

The button may cause a slight inconvenience but this PCC lasts longer on one charge because the battery doesn't have to power the LED light continuously. According to our engineers an LED light that is powered during 1 charge cycle of one of our standard length batteries uses about 50MAH of the battery. Also, we feel that the LCD screen layout of the PCC battery will show users if they have enough charge left to charge a battery.
