Hi guys! so I'm new to mech mods currently and the battery stuff is confusing me. What batteries are good, is there a specific battery I should use for a specific amount of ohms I build, what's with the discharge it gives off soo like 25A or 30A or what not and am I suppose to use the amount of discharge to see what build I should build?

sorry I'm confusing but thanks soooo much guys :)

Your battery continuous discharge rating determines what is safe for your resistance. Also keep in mind some companies like Efest and MXJO put their pulse rating on the batteries which is higher than the continuous. IE- Efest 2500 mah 18650 has 35amp stamped on it. Its actually a 20 amp continuous discharge. Search for baditudes battery info here on the forums it has all you need you need to learn: Ohms law, discharge info, battery safety and more. Ensure you have an ohm reader and NEVER fire a coil you haven't checked the resistance on. Sorry I don't have the links handy I'm on tapatalk on my phone right now.

sony vtc5 is a great 30A battery. You can get real authentics of these from R-Lsales on ebay. I use these below .2 ohm.
samsung 25r is a great 20A battery. These are easy to find and perform well. I use them in builds around .2 all the time.
the efest purple 35A is a re-wrapped LG HE2, which is a good 20A battery.

You are supposed to build coils that won't pull more than your batteries continuous amp rating. Some people play it safe and don't build more than half of the rating. But I often build around .21, which is around 20 amps and I haven't had any issue with the samsung 25R at this resistance. But the vtc5 is better, especially if you want to build lower... although don't buy these from just any vendor, there are a lot of fakes.
