So I'm working with just VG Glycerine (Humco), Lorann flavoring, and some sucrose sweetener from Tasty Vapor.

I've tried twice to get some good flavor out of the mix, but failed to get any sweet flavor out of it. I have Caramel and Chocolate; but neither o the flavors are making themselves apparent. the liquid is a nice dark caramel color, but absolutely no flavor is coming through, and I've put about six drops of the sweetener in.

I have a calculator, and it said to put about 80 percent VG, 20 percent flavor .. But I don't want to get just all VG and hardly any flavor.

Should I try with a smaller bottle? Or .. can anyone help me out with this?

VG is not flavor friendly. Usually 20% flavoring is more than enough to get the essence. If you must stay with VG only, all I can suggest is more flavor. Some folk say that a sweetner sometimes makes the flav pop out.

I'm sure there will be others to assist you and/or correct me. I'm a semi-virgin DIYer...

I might suggest better flavor, also... I find the LorAnn's Chocolate to be alcohol-y, almost mediciny... Most are. I haven't tried their caramel, though...

I'm a big fan of Perfumer's Apprentice double chocolate. It's the first I've found that I think actually tastes like chocolate. Their milk chocolate isn't bad either, but it's pretty weak...

If you stick with the LorAnn's you'll probably need at least 20% to make it palatable...

Good luck!
