Hello everyone!

I have been thinking of experimenting with a couple of flavors that I have. If you have any experience with these flavors, whether good or bad, please let me know.

My idea is to mix up something that is different. I usually go for fruity flavors, but I want something different to go to from time to time. Preferably tobacco inspired, but I'm open to suggestions.

Out of all of my flavors, here are the ones that I am willing to mix for this particular adventure:

Hangsen-
RY1 (for tobacco flavor)

Flavour Art-
Maxx Blend

TFA-
Milk chocolate
Honey
Graham Cracker (clear)
Banana Nut Bread
Caramel/Caramel Candy
RY4 Double

Lorann-
Banana cream

I do have ethyl maltol and sucralose just in case it's needed/recommended.

Though it's probably not important, I usually vape around 12 mg- 50/50 pg/vg. Percentages of any combination that you may have tried would be nice.

Thanks for reading! :vapor:

I have Hangsen Ry1 on the way!

I bought RY4 double from Wizard so I do believe it is TFA.

I found that Ry4 double by itself( this is at about 7%) stands up okay. Both of my mixes of RY4 double have E.M. added to them. For a while I was trying to clone Tribeca by Halo. I really like the exhale of plain Ry4 with E.M.(3%) But it's missing depth, body for me... at least the depth and body of Tribeca I was going for. Not just for cloning this flavor, but other tobaccos as well AP aka Actyl Parazine is said by many DIYers to help bring a tobacco to the next level. I've found this so far to be true as well.

For my RY4(at 10%) with AP(at 1%) and EM(at 1%) it's like the AP brings other flavors out. It also adds its own nuances to the body and over-all flavor giving it a lot more depth. I like heavier flavor so you may want to start your RY4 at 4 or 5% and work up, however EM & AP percentages in this case were followed by the recipe in which I found. I plan on personally bumping up the AP to 2% when I make the next batch.

I've tried caramel as well but never as a stand-alone. It's a great mixer with things. I find that RY4 double however tends to have enough of its own caramel notes going on so I haven't added it to those mixes. For bakery vapes TFA caramel is a nice background note.

Oh and the flavor has changed quite a bit from steeping, it's become much much better over time.

Good luck! Can't help you so with the others.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to try AP one day. It's hard to believe that only 1 or 2 percent will make that much of a difference. It must be very strong.

I'll also try mixing the RY4 double with EM next time. When I mixed it initially I didn't have EM, and I liked it on its own.

Haven't tried Tribeca before so I can't attest to that.

So far I've tried mixing graham cracker, white chocolate and ry1. I dded a little EM to the mix as well and it came out OK. I'm still tweaking it, I guess.

Milk chocolate with banana nut bread plus some sweetener sounds good. Go lightly with the BNB, its a strong flavor and can overpower any other flavor that's mixed with it. I like my flavors strong though so maybe start with 8% milk chocolate and 2-3% banana nut. I love the caramel candy flavor, it goes great mixed into just about everything :)

Hi!
Not sure how much time you have for allowing your mix to "age" but I'm liking the RY4 Double at 1 ml in 20ml base of my 100%VG nic base but I made it months ago and only just now like it a lot!
(I don't use PG with the exception of flavors that are PG based.)

Other variations that I've tried and are good as well, I add a drop of Honey to the RY4 Double.
I've added both Honey and Caramel and Graham Clear to RY4 Double and they are good too! When I say drops, I mean just a few drops which, when I put them in my 1 ml syringe, they are hard to measure but equal less than .1 ml

Adding Maxx gives more of a tobacco note which is good too. (I prefer the Maxx by FlavourArt)

Back when I first started DIY'ing I was using way too high percentages which took months of trial and errors lol before I found that I prefer smaller percentages for the best tastes.

Good luck and keep us posted :)

There's also a gigantic ry4 thread around here as well... I'm pretty sure I saw quite a few recipes, tips about the flavor. If you haven't checked it out it's pretty cool. My only other tip that I don't think I mentioned is particularly with tobacco patience is key. They do need a bit of time to steep, sometimes even a month.... at least a week in many cases. Good Luck!

I see a lot of talk about AP in this thread and it's talked about as a flavor enhancer but it's not. It's a flavor molecule used to give a mix a nutty top note. This is an ingredient found in your nutty tobaccos such as your 555's, T5 and highway tobacco flavors.

Usual amount is 1 - 2%

Using 3 - 4% will give your mix a corn chip taste.

Any more and you start getting into the burnt popcorn taste range. So be careful with it.
