Haha, yes, .062"... Nice mod you're working on. By magnetic connectors, do you mean the style that is like a pair of rare earth magnets with a lead attached to each one?

It's going fine now, but I decided to take a little more time on design before I start building again. The things I want to address in the revised design are:

• Repeatable precision in the build process
• Reduced number of parts
• Easier assembly
• Elimination of epoxy with parts that might need to be replaced
• A simpler (less labor intensive) way of mounting the display. The bap/mamu cradle definitely got me thinking on this one.
• Modular/interchangeable subassemblies

Being able to replace parts is critical, my screen quit working a few days ago. Gotta pull it out and install the new one. I used the double sided foam tape to secure it though and with the cover off have full access to all wiring, makes life a little easier.

Evolv is a great vendor to deal with

Westy, it is more the atty has a ring magnet and the mod has one and they keep the atty attached instead of a 510 threaded connector. More when it actually comes to fruition.
