To prevent it from activating in your pocket, you could add a second on/off switch slider. I've wondered why nobody does this for travel protection. If I was getting ready to vape, I would turn it on, then use the momentary switch for vaping. Once I am done for a while, I would turn it back off and put it back in my pocket. Is everybody and suppliers afraid of two switches for some reason that I haven't come across yet?

There's a couple reasons. The least importantn is that more switches mean more $. More likely reasons are that switches usually are the weakest point of a mod and most likely to break/stop working. It can be tough to find the room/space to add more switches and small size is almost always prefered. To a certain extend, some switches are unnecessary if the atty is removed when not in use (a short can still happen but if the batts are protected then the potential harm is minimized).

In the OP mods, I don't think a slide switch would look good and adding a second round switch somewhere probably wouldn't either. What he could consider is some sort of screw-down locking mechanism for the switch (GG has one?).

Key switch, only you can vape your mod.
Combination switch, press the wrong combination, nothing.

Master switch and a vape switch, leave the master switch on- BLAM.

uh-oh, what if you forgot?
What is you left your mod on in your car while you when into the theater?
would your car be there?

Complicated switch? Now that's what I'm talking about, MICS (Make It Complicated ----)

I think that covers one reason.

What if you accidentally left the switch on? Nothing. There would be a Master AND Vape switches. The 2nd momentary button would ALSO have to be pressed still before it could turn on, like they are made now, with the addition of a master/travel switch.

Also, If everyone was concerned with size, mods would never have happened for bigger batteries. And if you take it one step further, the indulgence/chameleon are one of the smallest of those so why bother with anything bigger? The eGo sells great and it is by no means smaller, in fact, it is bigger with the addition of a cosmetic cover part.

I can understand having to shell out a whole extra dollar for another switch, to guarantee safety, being of concern on an already $40+ retail units, not. I will agree it is cumbersome on DIY mods so I have no argument in that aspect. Nice work there theknifethrower, keep the ideas flowing!
