well i tried looking up the amp rating for the battery you have and i can't find anything about, so i dont even know what to suggest for you
your 34g wire is a bit tricky too... being so thin it heats up fast with more power

just from looking at stuff with steam coil builder, a good place for you to start would be a 1.8 ohm dual coil setup for 34g wire

i normally use 26-28ga for my builds so im not too familiar with thinner wire for coils

Thanks for trying...the batteries are generic, and I know I need new ones...I'll be on that as soon as I can.
I actually ran out of 34G wire...I only had about 12" and most of that got used up on the first couple coils I tried. I'm going to pick up some thicker wire (because that I actually can afford lol), probably 26, because I was thinking that anyway, and since you recommend it, I might as well.

I think I want to try the build you suggested earlier... I believe it was dual coils, 26G wrapped 9-10 times which I believe you said would come in around .5-.6Ohm range.
When my new battery comes, and I get some 26G wire, I will try that. Thanks a lot!

I was just trying to wrap coils with 34gauge myself, and I find it too difficult to work it; I could use that in a protank coil;

But the 32 works; I put a 32 gauge 5.5 ohm 3mm-ID on my bigd, and vaping away on that.

I should get the new wire today. I have a local vape shop that just opened up, I'm sure they carry it. I'll post back then.
I love how helpful everyone is one here. Thanks to all that have posted in this thread!
Thanks!

Just thought I'd post a quick update.... I haven't been able to get any more Kanthal, since my local vape shop was unexpectedly closed today...However, I found a few lengths of 34G I had left over. I used the "Coil Toy" calculator, and I built a single coil at about 1.4Ohms.

I wrapped this coil a bit tighter, about 1mm instead of 2mm, but I thought it would be a good chance to try out the hemp wick that came with my K100, to see how I liked it compared to cotton. I'm using 16mg oil, and although it's not as high quality as what I was using, it's still vaping pretty well. I'm noticing a few spots of the coil glowing more than the rest now that I have the wick in, but it's heating evenly for the most part. I have the coil raised off the deck a bit higher than last time, so it's almost right in-line with the air holes on one side. I'm learning a lot just by trying out different things, so thanks again to everyone who has helped me out on this forum!

Sorry about the picture quality again...

1.4 ohm at 34gauge sounds pretty low ohms; it's probably running pretty hot.

after you put the wick in, you should not be seeing the coil glowing;
after you put the wick in, you need to juice up the wick;
definitely running too hot.

I agree, may be running a bit too hot, but it's working well enough to last me the night...the temp isn't the cause for the glowing coil, however. Upon closer inspection, the part of the coil that was glowing, was actually just a hair higher than the rest of the wraps, and it wasn't touching the wick. I pressed it together a little more, and now it's working well, no glowing coil!
