Ok so, there I was, thinking about all the things I've never done, never want to do, and wish that things would just magically appear. So I got this great idea to build a 'Nano / Super Nano' coil. Problem is, I'm still confused as to what MAKES a nano / super nano coil just those things. All I have in my possession that I could wrap the smallest coil on was an 18G syringe needle. Granted I could have probably used the wifeys bobby pins as well, but said "screw it 18G needle or bust..." So I grabbed up my 24 AWG wire, wrapped 2 coils, tidied them up a bit, stuck them on my atty, screwed it into my Ohm Reader, and my jaw dropped. Hit the floor like it was never even attached. The initial reading - .17 Ohms. Afterwards grabbed my handy dandy 'Ohms Law Calculator - did a worst case scenario approach (4.2V @ .17 Ohms = 24.706 Amps - 103.765 Watts) and felt the sting of the bullet whiz past my bottom cheeks once again. So I packed some cotton in there, soaked it with some Colonel Custard (Creme Brulee) juice, popped the cap on, grabbed my jaw, attached it to my face, and let it rip - then my heart stopped. That vape was DELICIOUS! Anyhow - if anyone's got any suggestions, tips or advice to fix what I got built below - please help me out. The vape is immediately hot - no ramp up time that you can notice. I was able to cut up some cotton and run it through the coils - was a pain - but I got it done. Anyways here it is - I know it's dark, but it's built on a Patriot V1.2 RDA (which happens to be the best damn RDA I ever owned), 8 wraps of 24 AWG Kanthal A1, on an 18G syringe needle:

1.5 Second Pulls = Plumes of Vapor
2.0 Second Pulls = Coughing Fit
2.5+ Second Pulls = Haven't tried it - don't want to die. :vapor:

I would do 1/2mm id for supernano
1mm id nano
1.55mm id micro
macro is above 1.55mm id

18gauge is 1.024mm so you have nano's

I've done the same as you a few times, wicking a nano internally, most people make a cotton cloud underneath and don't wick inside, mainly cause they either cant wick inside or it get's to hot and end up burning the wick into two. If it's to hot on a fresh battery you can always rev the fire button instead of just holding it.
oh and if you haven't noticed it yet you should get better vapour and maybe better flavour just before the cotton start's to dry, it give's you a little head's up that you need to drip

And if you haven't already then put your air holes facing the end's of the coil's nearest to the edge of your rba or there about's, you will get better everything!(this works best with cotton cloud/no internal wick) rather then having them sort of lined up with the center of the coil's.

Nice build:)
