So i've been vaping cartos with tanks for a long time. I got bored last week and bought a RSST.

Built my first one today with a 32 wire, 400 mesh, using it on a provari.

I vape sweet liquids and my first impression is it makes my liquids very sweet. Also it taste totally different compared to a carto. Anyways the issue I want to address is vapor production. It is 1/2 the vapor compared to a carto.

1. On a provari, do I through out the rule in keeping the voltage within 2 volts? My build comes out to 1.7ohms. What voltage should I vape it at?

2. What can I do to make vapor production comparable to my boge cartos?

I'd vape it around 4 volts for sweet flavors, that will give you a touch less than 10 watts. You can only go up from there. The provari won't go above 5 volts on 1.7 though (15 watts). Any genesis at 10-15 watts is gonna vape like a champ. It just takes setup and practice.

Also-

Make sure the coil isn't too tight or too loose. Loose will spit a lot, tight will constrict juice flow and go dry.
Make sure the air hole on the cap is lined up perfectly with the coil or your vapor production will be meh.

Best of luck and be sure to read through some of the threads like "Wire Rope for Wick" and "The Smoktech RSST" that have multiple pages with tons of info you can use as a new rebuilder.

If it's perfect now, it should be better after a tank or two (as the wick breaks in). As for rebuilding, I would just keep vaping till it isn't doing what you want, then as hotspot redevelop, adjust as necessary. You can dry burn to revive the coil (especially with a darker sweeter juice). I've heard of people vaping on the same coil for months. When you rebuild, you can probably just wrap a new coil around the same wick. Sorry can't offer any personal experience as I just got mine up and running real nice (approximately my 10th build all time) and I don't plan on messing with it till performance drops off.

Hope that helps.
