Hello everyone,

After recently discovering how awful Blu cigs are, my friend and I visited a local store where he purchased a 501 and I picked up the eGo-C (a knock off from Vapor Mate).

Anyways, we're already wanting to pick up some accessories/mods/etc. as the online world definitely offers a much larger variety. What we're finding however, is a TON of sites. Many of them don't seem all that reliable/trusthworthy purely based on appearance. I myself am an avid Amazon shopper and straying from them is not something I like to do. With that said, what is for the most part everyones favorite sites to purchase from?

Thanks!

I use "slims" and recommend vapeshot.com (VS) or V4L.com. If you did not like the Blu but want a standard sized ecig, both of these sites are good (VS for 510 style with a PCC and V4L for kr808 style and juice).

You'll have a HARD time finding anything on Amazon or ebay etc because they all have anti-tobacco policies even though e-cigs don't contain tobacco .

Thanks guys, this is a great start. Inevitably it's going to be a trial and error type thing, but it's just difficult as there are SO many sites out there and all the privacy/hacking issues, I am very hesitant purchasing anything from non-known/trustworthy sites. I'd like to just buy everything locally for this; however my shop is somewhat limited in comparison to what I'm seeing out there.

Welcome to ECF adambean and congrats on your decision. The ECF listed companies operate here at ECF under a strict code of ethics- some have been removed because they did not measure up and/ or provide decent service. The choice and pricing via the internet is vastly superior to a brics and mortar place. Most of the online stores also offer discount codes of anywhere from 5- 35% off. In suggesting a PV we need to know how many analogs per day you smoked and what brand?

Hey Vapoor.

I was a solid pack a day camel lights smoker. After trying out the 501 and 901, I was pretty sold on both; however decided to buy the eGo-C (901 correct?) and definitely enjoying it thus far. Still trying to learn all the terminology and such ... but catching up pretty quickly. My biggest questions/concern relating to this particular topic right now is ... can I buy accessories/pieces/parts for 901 in general, or do I have to focus on the eGo? If the latter, does it make more sense to buy a whole new unit? (even though I Just bought this yesterday!).

I now own a Blu (garbage) and this eGo-C. Working on upgrades/accessories at the moment and determining what to do in regards to buying another unit for my Father (or just giving him my eGo-C).

Thanks Adam. I don't know if you need it but here's an Ecig dictionary
E-Cig Glossary. Definitions, abbreviations, and meanings. | eCigology
901 or 510 is the threading on the device and although the 510 threading seems to be more popular you can buy non eGo accessories as long as they're the right thread. You can also buy a 901 to 510 adapter if need be:
1x silver multi-adapters for e-cigarette - E-cigarette adapters Heaven Gifts
If you're happy with the eGo-C than buy another one. For about the same price though you could buy a low end Variable volt tube. Having said that there's a new device coming out soon that will change all/ most mechanical Mods into a VV device called the Kick sooo does this mean true VV Mods will come down in price?

So to help understand something here ... the 501 is pretty much the standard looking cigarette (but in the size of a typical "100"; whereas the 901 (or in my case the "eGo-C") is simply the larger ecig which is primarily utilized for the bigger battery correct?

I looked briefly into the variable voltage devices (like the Lava Tube) and ... those are much bigger! I think the 901 is about as big as I want to go.

I guess now I'm trying to understand what the big difference (if any) between the typical 901's and something like this eGo-T/C/etc. They are basically one in the same no?

From the link I gave:
306 – One of many styles of electronic cigarettes available. Many users of the 510 e-cigs are using the 306 atomizers on their batteries, as they feel it gives a better experience.

401, 402, and 403 – Also referred to as m401, m402, and m403. One of many styles of electronic cigarettes available. These are all essentially the same unit (same threading on batteries and atomizers) but with different length batteries. The 401 model is the longest in physical length and battery life of the three while the 403 is the shortest in length and battery life.

510 – Arguably the most common and popular style of electronic cigarettes available.

808 or KR808 - One of many styles of electronic cigarettes available.

901 – One of many styles of electronic cigarettes available.

This is generally referring to the thread on the unit and cartomizers or atomizers. The batteries can be many different sizes. "slim" refers to standard cig size for instance.

Welcome!
The Go-Go is similar to the eGo, but larger.
It is a manual battery, meaning you don't just drag on the mouthpiece end to activate, you push a button.
Top to bottom with a tip, cone, cartomizer, it's about 7 inches and a little bigger around than the eGo.

The cartomizers hold more eliquid, the battery lasts MUCH longer.
The newer ones with the digital display tells you how many "hits" you've taken (keeps a running count of how many times the button is pressed) and how much battery life is left.
You can pick one up at Cigeasy.
I believe there are other vendors now as well that carry them, and I also believe they come in colors not just black.
However..... the connection is proprietary. (I believe is the word).
You can't use just any cartomizer/atomizer, you have to use Go-Go cartomizers.
I know there is an adapter to use the Go-Carts on other batteries, I'm not sure if there is an adapter to use other cartos/attys on the Go-Go.

Also, either the Buzz Pro from notcigs or the ProVari from provape are both good vari-volt mods.
They are not too large, and I have small hands.
They are each around 4 inches tall not counting carto/atty on the end. They are both 510 connection on the end and will take a variety of cartos/attys/adapters. 306 atomizers will fit either without an adapter.
Both take batteries that are inserted, so you would need batteries and a battery charger, I believe you can get both as a set with batteries/charger.

Apex Alpha Ultramax is another good one that is not too large.... around 5 inches.
Has a feeding system that works pretty well, although not the best.
They can be found at innovapor.

You may find interest in a box mod, Reo's Mods, Hogs Mods, Monkeyboxx, there are a few of them.
Hand made wooden, plastic, or aluminum (I believe) boxes that take batteries. Some are bottom feeders, juice is delivered to the carto/atty from bottom. Harder to get as they are usually made in batches rather than an instock item.

The GLV by Great Lakes Vapor is also one you many find interesting. They range from a super mini to an XL.

For juice, I like in no particular order:
freedomsmokeusa
juicy vapor (one of my all time favs)
mom and pop vapor shop

atomizers, as I have moved away from cartomizers:
ikenvape, love their i06
bombay vaping, they carry the MA306
clouds of vapor
empire mods (you make like their mods as well)
madvapes

Look around, ask questions, have fun!

murrajes ... just checked out that site, very cool. Question, the eGo-C is a 901 correct? Meaning that I can pick up any of the 901 batteries? (DSE-901 Manual Batteries [DSE-901 Manual Battery] - $11.49 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid). Those are pretty cool!!!

Not sure what a 901 is. (I'm still pretty green myself). It probably has to do with the threads. I use a DSE801 and a ego-T. I'm sure someone here will know. Good prices at value vapor huh? :)

510/901/KR808 are all just thread types. The size and style of the PVs differs greatly on all threads. Not all 510 devices look like a cigarette clone, and not all 901/KR808 (same thing) are not all big batt PVs. Also, they make adapters for all thread types, so you can use virtually any equipment on any batt. Mods - E-Cig Multi Adapters

Liberty Flights is a great vendor. Great prices, products, customer service, and very fast shipping. I live in NC, and Liberty Flights is in California, but I always get my shipments within 2 days! Check them out - E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings Also, 20% off coupon code is october20. You're welcome. :p

There are plenty of excellent vendors around. Here is a forum dedicated to ECF approved and monitored vendors - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forum-suppliers/ and http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/

For the eGo-C,the "C" stands for Changeable. The eGo-C is the third generation of ever popular electronic cigarette kit 1) eGo, 2) eGo-T, and now the 3) eGoC. All the other eGos have been 510 threads. I used these a long time. I now use a provari, but I also kept the ego batteries to throw in my purse when we are out and about. I did ditch the atomizers and tanks though. I now use cartomizers and cherry vape drip tips on them. Went from being good to being great! No leakage, lots of taste and vapor. The hardest part now will be finding a e-liquid that you like. My favorite vendors for ecig supplies is madvapes, liberty flights, and freedomsmokeusa. My favorite eliquid vendors are shopcoppercreek, and freedomsmokeusa Best of luck!

I seem to keep reading more and more than many people end up migrating to the cartomizers. I didn't originally think this was the best bet, but I do have one and I do see the value in it. I think the combo of the drink tank + cartomizer may be the route I end up going.

Yeah ... I think I want to find another eGo-C (i think?), ~1000mAh battery, drip tank, and a few cartomizers + a case to handle it all. Slowly but surely I'm honing in on this ...
