Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and to the world of Ecigs. I bought the Fantasia rechargeable e-hookah only to find that its a simple ego battery. I now have a Kanger T2 on it and have a Kanger EVOD that I actually love more.

Anybody here experience health issues with e cigs? long term that is. I am a non smoker and I like using my hookah but want the convenience, mobility and occasional buzz =]

Welcome to vaping!

The only issue I have ever had from vaping is dehydration, which is easily resolved by drinking plenty of water, which I should be doing anyway.

Apart from that, I have had nothing but benefits from vaping. In fact, I have not been sick once since I started vaping. My tin foil hat theory is that because one of the main ingredients, propylene glycol, is antibacterial, and is used as an air sanitizer in hospitals, my lungs are a deathtrap for any airborne germs that I may come in contact with. Again, this is just a theory.

I got a zit. No kidding. I think it was because of the oil. I'm 48 years old and hadn't had a zit in decades so that's why I'm assuming it had to do with vaping. I also got a little stye that went away in a day. If this had anything to do with vaping it's because I use to slowly exhale thick vapor out of my nose, which would then rise up into my eyes behind my glasses. It's possible oil collected on my eyelid or on the frame of the glasses, collecting bacteria and causing the stye. Sometimes I get a bit of a runny nose, just a little, a few times I have sneezed. I once got a nicotine booger that looked like a tiny sunflower kernal that was dark brown and oily. That's about it for side effects, lol. I also wasn't smoking cigs before I started vaping--quit years ago, so I can relate to the "buzz" comment. It could very well be described as a buzz. It's a better buzz if you don't vape all the time because if you do, then you don't much feel the nicotine at all, but if you take a good vape after a few hours of not vaping it really feels good, for about ten seconds it's like an orgasm. But the buzz if you can call it a buzz also has no ill side effects. I can concentrate better, I'm more relaxed yet have more energy, I can work like a dog after vaping without any bad side effects like other stimulants have, and the "buzz" is very short term, even caffeine causes a much longer lasting and harsher simulation. Oh, and if I vape too heavily in the evening before going to bed I wake up with what can only be described as a nicotine hangover but even this is so minor it doesn't keep me from functioning.

I have been vaping for 1 month after being a 2+pack/day smoker for 20 years.

I vape a lot, pretty much all day, but haven't smoked since the moment I got this thing. Here is what I have experienced thusfar:
-Dry mouth
-Dry throat
-Chapped lips
-One juice broke my entire mouth out in canker sores. It was bad, probably over a dozen of them - whole mouth basically blistered for over a week. But I traced it back to that one particular juice.

I also think the dry/chapped thing was due to another juice and tank type as it was super airy and not really working right (but being new I didn't know better) and was umm . .sucking really hard a lot (no good way to say that ><) to try and get anything from it.

Other than that . . .I had a cold this week. These usually last me a couple weeks or so - this one lasted 2 days and was barely noticeable. I dunno, maybe the new Arizona climate has something to do with it too.

I'd be interested to hear of any long-term effects though. Can't imagine they'd be worse than smoking, but it would be good to know.

Regarding the canker sores. It could be that your tank was leaking and you had scalding hot droplets of juice spraying into your mouth. While experimenting with taking the wick out of the head I forgot to put the rubber piece back on and got some juice squirt into my mouth causing a very minor canker sore.

By new AZ climate I assume you moved there recently? AZ's dry air can cause chapped lips as well especially at first when you are not used it. The dry mouth and throat is pretty easy to fix though by drinking water. Curious about the canker sores. Mind sharing the juice so I can avoid that?

The only health issue I've experienced is the need to drink more water...which I needed to anyways. PG and nicotine dehydrate you and it hitting my throat constantly combined with other meds im on gives me wicked dry mouth but the meds dehydrate me anyways...this just makes me realize I need the water more which is a good thing cause I'll not pay attention to it always otherwise....other side effects include my smoker's cough almost completely vanishing, breathing easier, my lungs not hurting from "over" smoking...yeah...plenty of side effects...all good. If you're a former smoker I reckon it's better you tried vaping rather than going back to ciggies but if you had quit for so long why start again with the nic at all? just my silly curiousity...anyways welcome from a fellow washingtonian and happy vaping while you're here :toast:

For me anyway, the answer is: Why not? Nicotine isn't the reason I quit smoking--the tar was.

Pg is also in anti freeze.. lol.. but they dont say its because its not as toxic as the other stuff .. more pet friendly anti freeze? But closer to vaping its also in asthma inhalers.. dont quote me just stuff I remember reading. And my memory isnt as good

I vape all day 24mg no "buzz" am I doing something wrong. :D

I wouldn't expect you to feel the effects of nicotine if you vape that much. It would be like if you drank all day long. You would barely feel the effects of the next drink because you're already drunk. I'm not criticizing you, mind you, just explaining the physics of it. If it's possible, try not taking a vape for a day, and then go back to it. You'll feel it.

Perhaps the word "buzz" is the wrong word to use because it does make people think of other things. The effects of nicotine in vaping is no different than the effects of nicotine in cigarettes, cigars, snuff, snus or chewing tabacco. The only difference is that you almost certainly won't get cancer or lung disease from it. I would describe the effects of nicotine more as a "chill" or perhaps there is another term to describe it as opposed to the inaccurate word 'buzz'.
