I have just received my satin finish nickel-plated TB. It is not better than I expected--for all the hype you people build up for the GG, it would have to fill itself with juice and never need charging to be better than I expected. But for "only" expecting the Rolls Royce of pv's, it certainly lives up to that.

The one I got came with the aluminum 901 caps. Not having any 901 hardware, I have an adapter on it now and am awaiting delivery of a 510 connector cap from COV. While I was there I noticed the 510 end cap. Does this have any different functionality, or is it simply so that the two end caps will be the same finish?

And mine did not come with the telescoping battery insert. I was looking at buying one eventually just to have a compleat unit, but since I've seen the announcement of the GG Stealth I have to save my pennies (and I thought I was done buying mods for the year ). Is it inappropriate to ask here if someone would have an extra telescoping insert they would be willing to trade for a 901 connector cap, or should that be handled in the classies?

Welcome to the GG family Scott. Looks like the bottom cap on COV is aluminum and the 510 connector cap is nickle so they won't match. As for the battery insert I got a TB without one also which I found off but I just use it with a 17670 so I am not to worried about it.

I was just curious since it was listed specifically as "510 GGTB Bottom Cap" and I couldn't imagine the negative battery connection needing to be different due to the threading of the atomizer--as far as I can tell it's no different than the one I have so I was wondering if I was missing something

As for the insert, I just want it for "compleatness." I planned on just using 17670's anyway. Unfortunately, of the two I ordered to have on hand for the arrival of the TB one seems to have a protection circuit fault. Charges fine, has a good voltage, doesn't fire an atty. Since the second works as expected I do have one--but I've made a dummy battery just in case I want to run a 16340 while it's charging (at least until some more 17670's arrive). It's amazing how upset I got that I didn't have a battery to run while the other's being charged--I always have at least two PV's going at any time anyway, but after only a half-hour on the TB I need it to be at least one of them

I knew I was going to love it, but I'm still a little surprised at exactly how much. It's made the Stealth a must-have since I know I won't be able to buy a TS anytime soon but the Stealth will let me buy one "on time" and be vaping another GG at the same time. Win-win

Yeah I am not sure why it lists it as 510 specific bottom cap but the cap you have will work with either. As for the bat insert I hear ya and I plan on picking one up at some time also.

As for enjoying it I hear you and wait till you get a stealth/full TS upgrade. I vaped on a TB for about 2 weeks before I got my first TS. The innovation of it just amazed me. The draw controll is a feature I think it would be hard to live without and the collector tank is very nice to have.

At this point I'm just happy to have been able to join the family about 8 months before I expected. I knew I was going to be getting a GG with my tax refund, but it wasn't looking hopeful to get one before then. I'm sure I will still do that, but now it looks like the tax refund might be paying for my third

The only down side is that it was someone else's misfortune that allowed this to happen
