Since I'm new, I thought I'd start a thread about my experience so far with e-cigarettes.

I started vaping around the new year and had a somewhat difficult transition period- I didn't start out with the 24mg, as I should have, being a previously heavy smoker, and I kept buying cigarettes and giving myself a choice. The transition took about two weeks. The key to success was stopping buying cigarettes and not making them available.

I haven't had a real cigarette since January 22- I bummed two on that day because I'd gone on a trip but forgotten my juice at home and my carts ran out.

I started out with the auto-batt, cigarette shaped PV with polyfill & carts, but quickly got sick of getting juice in my mouth. After doing a bit more research I realized there were probably more practical ways of vaping.

I bought an eGo. Thank God! After adding a MAP tank, and most recently the eGo Booster, it's completely satisfied me.

I feel great. I've gained a bit of weight, but my lungs feel healthier and my breath and clothes don't stink anymore. If I haven't already saved money, I should be starting to soon, and I have no urges at all for real cigarettes.

Anyway, nice to meet you all and thanks for all of the great advice and info!

Congratulations on quitting cigs and welcome to the ECF!!

I'm glad that you have found something that works for you and I hope you continue to be active on this forum. Went through the same phases as you did when I quit not to long ago and I feel the same way. Now, when I converse with a smoker. I know exactly how other non-smokers reacted towards me at the time. Glad I quit LOL

I did similarly....I pretended that cigarettes did not exist and there was no way to buy them anymore. I stayed on my PV and within a few days, I had no interest in analogs any more. That was over 5months ago. Doing Weight Watchers and P90X right now to slim down and all is beautiful in the world. Well done and welcome!

Vaping in the Lowes parking lot. Now that's funny.
