Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself. I just started vaping 2 weeks ago to quit smoking (2 full weeks without a cigarette so far!) and what started as an alternative became a full on hobby already. I've been reading the forums since i started and have learned a lot and hope to learn a lot more.

As of right now, my setup i use is a Vamo V5 mod with innokin iClear 30b. it does decent for what it is, but im always looking for the next best thing. i've been really trying to find a tank that gives a great big hit without sacrificing flavor and holds enough that i can make it through a 10hr day of work. and i've been looking into smaller mods as i feel the vamo is great, but feels like a giant robot "unit" in my hand lol. eventually i want to get a single coil rda setup so i can have something easy to try flavors and produce some big clouds lol. (i'm new to the terminology and lingo so bear with me)

Anyway, great to be here and thanks for all the great info so far!

Welcome to ECF!

I think it's great you are jumping into vaping so well but my advice would be to take it slow.

I mean if you have a ton of money to throw around then have at it but if you don't, your vamo is a fine PV maybe just try some different tanks? Lotsa people love the pro tanks and the nautilus.

I'm not in any way trying to discourage you but it's sooo easy to get shiny-itis and for a lot of people it gets out of control.

Maybe just set a limit for yourself. Maybe just one new device every 2 months or 3 months or whatever.

In any event, congratulations on kicking the cigs to the curb!

What you might really like is a mech mod (i.e. a stingray or nemesis) shortened to 18350 mode and a kayfun lite (rebuildable atomizer).

My stingray/kayfun combo fits in the palm of my hand and lasts me through the work day. Maybe carry an extra battery and 15ml bottle of back up juice and you're set.

I completely understand this statement. i have a tendency to dive right into things head first after learning a little bit. hobbies for me always take over eventually. just like my Subaru WRX that i had $10k+ invested in before i sold it. it does feel good to be back into a hobby that (for the most part right now) seems pretty "inexpensive" to get started into. i was really surprised when seeing the sticker prices for most of the entry level tanks being around $10-20. that's alot cheaper than the $1500 wheels i bought for my old car lol.

Ohhh and also to add you could try a spinner or a twist for work. Maybe get a few protank minis and take a couple filled to work. They are smaller then your VAMO.

i actually have been looking into the spinners and twists this morning since i saw another post about them. i did just place an order for the Kanger Aerotank this morning so i'm hoping the adjustable airflow solves at least one problem for me. it's no the size of the tanks that bother me, just the big mod. and its not even a big deal, just another reason for me to invest further!

thanks for the warm welcomes and the tips!

hmm i will have to look into these further today.

I also forgot to mention that, while i enjoy jumping in head first, i also like to do about 3-4 days of research exhausting every pro and con before purchasing anything. Research is 50% of the fun for me :)

like the idea of someone new doing research before buying.... i should have thought of that :D...just don't skip over the whole safety thing. learn about batteries and ohms law.. then the rest is pure fun.

i've been forum hopping for around 11 years now, so the research end is nothing new to me. it was drilled into my head early on on the car forums i used to frequent that you "never post questions to things that have already been answered. there is a "search" button for a reason". i apply that logic to every other "hobby" i get into.
