Hi.

I'm joining the forum because I want to get hooked in to the latest info and support. My husband (who is on this forum as a long time member MXBNW) and I have been pushing the e cig movement in our area and so far have quit smoking and have helped five others to do so as well. I am seeing new folks in our area who are growing discouraged and giving up because of all the new cheap junk offered at the local convenience stores and it breaks my heart.

I am 36 years old and have an 11 year old daughter who has been begging us to quit smoking for the last 6 years. I have been smoke free for a couple of months, though I have lost count of the days since I last tried an analog. I started smoking when I was 11.

I can't imagine having to learn all this info on my own and alone....I am very lucky that MXBNW is my husband and that he helped me get moving in this direction. I don't believe that I would have made it past the Blu Cig phase without him.

Welcome to ECF, good on you for helping others move to the vaper side, and congrats on giving up the analogs! I'm so glad that I found this forum because without it, I'd have been stuck with GreenSmokes and probably would've gone back to analogs. It's been a fun, interesting, and educational experience and I'm glad that ECF is here!

I have run into the same obstacle (cheap crap). I'll bring up the e-cig and get told they've tried it. At that point, I know I'm dead in the water even before getting started. I will give them this web address and tell them to go and read. I will also tell them that here, they will find the products that DO WORK. I can only hope they visit.

That's when you ask them if they've tried one that actually WORKS!

Welcome RF,

Carry ECF business cards and extra filled tips in your pocket, so that when you come across the dicouraged, you can have them try your device (with clean tip), and make a beliver out of them.

Excellent idea! Never thought of that....the cards or the tips. I have a ton of tips and batteries. That is why when I go on outings with our friends I bring way more than enough so I can share.
