Thank you! I'm thinking one of the cig-like ones might be better for me because I've tried an actual vape pen (I'm not sure what brand it is) and the liquids leaking on my lip when I inhale. Plus- the cigarette type pens are a bit more familiar i think.

Have you tried any of these? and can you still experiment with flavors or are they just for quitting smoking? (P.s, thanks for your response)

Hey I'm Jamie, I'm new to the forum and was hoping someone could help?

I'm new to this whole vaping thing and while I like experimenting with liquids and flavors, I'm struggling to find an actual e-cig/vaporizer that I like. Any recommendations for starters?

thanks!
Hi J and welcome,
How long have you been smoking and how many do you smoke per day?

Cheers
I

Cig-a-likes are dreadful and barely work unless you are/were a light smoker. Even then, the prices and the marketing BS of these companies sets new standards in ripping people off.
Oh; they also employ fake reviews, fake review sites and hand over commission to the youtube people who will happily steal money from other desperate smokers.
This part of the industry is the 'dark side'. Turn to it at your peril.
The ecig I'm using today is about 50 dollars. It doesn't leak but you could pay 200 or more from one of the"top rated" brands. *sigh*

I'd get a Joyetech AIO and take it from there. :)

If OP insists, look for 510 manual 'sticks'.
Around 3 bucks. Last about 2&1/2 hrs when new.
Attach a cartomizer, lower the resistance the better the experience. Boge & Smok cartos are still around. 2 or 3 for a buck.
The Cartos can be refilled,,not a closed system per say. I got off red Marlboros using the above..

Also, do all vape pens leak or do you think it could be because I bought a cheap one?
Ordinarily I'd tell a new vaper to avoid any ciga-like because over the long term they are very expensive and inefficient compared to more advanced vaporizers. Come on, go ahead, you can admit it...

However, I see that you only smoke 10 cigs a day and didn't express a desire to quit smoking entirely, so a ciga-like, or an eGo battery device may still suit your needs. I'm still inclined to recommend an iStick mod and a MiniNautilus tank, whose performance will blow your mind compared to any cig-alike.

I always recommend ego VV battery and evod type tank to start. $10 on ebay. I started at 2.2ohm and 3.2v personally anything stronger and I probably would have quit and sold whatever I got. Don't want to waste $60 incase you don't like it. Stores always recommend getting something expensive so you'll "save money" when your ready to upgrade the tank but if you don't like it you lose way more money. The 650mah VV is half the size of a lighter so it's still a great stealth pocket device later if you do upgrade.
