Hello everyone. New to the forum and the vaping world. Smoked for around 5 years, started dipping to kick the smoking habit, and did that for two years. Never really enjoyed the tin as much as a did smoking, but it was an alternative that helped me stop. Made it a point to quit that too when 2012 rolled around, but it seemed as soon as I stopped, I picked up a cigarette again.

While working in close proximity to someone at work, I noticed he kept taking concealed drags off something and blowing "smoke." When I asked him about it, he introduced me to the world of E-cigs. After some quick research on the net, I bought my first starter kit from v2. This was three weeks ago. No dip or cigs for about two weeks, had one cig a week ago while drinking, and had to throw it away, and replace it with my PV.

It wasn't long after I bought my V2 that I found this site, and have been stalking around every since. Decided to finally register today. Seems like a wealth of information here.

Hoping to get some advice. While the V2 has been great, I'm now looking to get away from something that actually looks like a cigarette, an "upgrade" if you will, and was wondering what everyone would recommend and why. Thanks and take care!

hello and welcome! I started with a V2 also.. credit it with helping me get off the analogs but yes, there is bigger and better out there. I recommend a KGO.. it's 510 threaded and your V2 is 808, but you can buy a little 808-510 adapter so you can use your V2 cartos on it. The battery on the KGO is 1100mah, which means it lasts all day long,, sometimes two depending on how you use it. I got mine from Virgin Vapors, but Hoosier ECig Supply comes very highly recommended also. It's a bit bigger than your V2, but that doesn't bother me since I can use this thing all day and into the next before needing to recharge. And with a 510 threaded device, you have a ton more options as far as cartos or atty's are concerned. A KGO, some Boge cartos, or 1.7ohm low res cartos from Crystal Clear Vaping and you'll be in vaping heaven!

Hi and welcome to ECF! :) Congrats on quitting smoking too. How much did you smoke ? How much do you want to spend? A little more info might help in finding a pv to suit you. It is a learning experience so don't worry too much about finding the 'perfect' unit. If you smokevape a lot, you probably will want a larger battery type. I have an Echo model and had a KGo model and have no problem recommending either one. They last all day for me and can operate most cartomizers safely. I still use the Echo a lot as it is automatic battery (no button) and I like that. Automatics are more susceptible to juice leaking into the battery and ruining it though. I also have an Infinity mod that takes 2 individual rechargeable batteries and is variable voltage. It works very well but it is long and a little awkward to carry around at work. Let us know how you might be using it ...

Juices and cartomizers... more than you can shake a stick at :)
Cheers.
