Just one more thing... There is a way to use a tank on your GG without the top cap while still retaining full benefits of airflow control. Simply place an o-ring over the top threads of the collector tank and push your tank against it. It works very well, I would just like to find a clear-color one instead of black.

I'm using the rethreader and a 901-510 adapter. (Sorry for a semi-blurry picture)

Ok, got another newb question :)

When using different batteries and the telescope part, once I put the battery in and begin screwing the telescope to decrease the length, do I keep screwing just until contact is made or do I keep tightening until I cannot tighten anymore?

Ok, that sure is difficult to explain, hopefully this might make better sense....I put in a different size battery and put the cap back on. Now I continue to turn the telescope so the battery make contact. Battery makes contact and atty fires but do I keep turning the telescope until it is tight or just stop?

I just wanted to make sure I don't mess up anything as this is my 1st telescoping mod :)

Thanks again for the help.

You dont screw hard anything on GG ED. Screw the telescope until you feel it ok. Dont overtight because you will damage batteries or atomizer.

Dont let telescope loosy but dont tight it if you know what I mean

Thanks and that does make sense as it was a little loosy but still worked so wanted to make sure it was ok to tighten til not loose anymore.

Thanks for all the help and sorry for all the newb questions :)

That's one thing that's nice about the Fuse Upgrade kit. It takes all the guess work out of the equation and gives it a more solid feel. I strongly recommend it as it was recommended to me.

Cool, I almost got that but thought it was more of an extra safety measure when stacking batteries.

Cool, my first GG accessory then ;)

Thanks for the info.

Looks brand new? Isn't it brand new??

Mine came with smudges too but I polished it just like you. Brass tarnishes easily so I really didn't mind when I saw that out of the box.

LOL, yes it's brand new :) but this is my first experience with Brass or even a GG so didn't know to be prepared with brass cleaner.

Didn't mean to give the impression it wasn't new, will edit the post as I don't want anyone to think I was saying I got a used one :)

Thanks

Ok, not trying to sound or be like a fanboy or anything but I think I have a problem....I have had this wonderful device for just a few days and I have already ordered a fuse kit and a brass telescopic tube. After I cleaned up my brass caps and seeing the pic from the COV site, I just couldn't resist having brass as the telescopic tube.

Good news is it is almost October so that's my allowance for that month :)

Anyway, I know this was a pointless post but just had to admit my problem as I believe that is the 1st step right,? I knew this would happen getting into the GG but hey it's fun.

Take care everyone, just can't wait to get the VV add on so this can be my main device. Too bad I don't use\like atomizers or else I would be stalking the UFS but to each their own I guess.

Oh, come on. You are going to want a UFS so badly that you will force yourself to like atties :)

I know, I didn't want to go overboard and say that but I am sooo trying to convince myself this :)

I know I already have the newer iAtty and the VV addon on my list but I think I am pushing it getting something I wouldn't probably even use but it sure would be pretty ;)

I don't know what it is, I mean I've tried a good amount of mods, then sold them then tried others and sold them but for some reason I feel like Smeagol from LOR, it's my "Precious" I mean 3.7v doesn't even do anything for me but Imeo made a convincing case with me saying how when the VV comes out, it will be really hard to get a GGTS at a good price so for now it sits here being admired. I probably won't even get my other rebuildable atty til the end of October but hoping what they say is true that good things come to those who wait as well as I just wanted to get me a top of the line device to use at home and I can say this SS GGTS sure fits the bill :)

I hate to break it to you, but you will be able to use cartos in the UFS. You just need to punch or slot them. Think of it as a beautiful, well built, Liquinator or Map DCC that also has air control.

Why did you have to go and say that...well you are explaining this to my wife when she sees this wonderful new UFS this month LOL

I don't slot or punch my cartos in the ufs. Still works great

Cool, I mean I don't mind punching cartos but that's great it works without having to. Do you have to pre-fill the carto before first using it or putting it in the UFS?

Thanks for all the help everyone:)

The difference between punched and non punched is how the juice is fed into the carto (duh!). Non punched, you are forcing the juice up through the center air tube to get to the coil. Just like using a carto on something like a reo, only you get a constant flow from the UFS. Punched cartos, the juice is pulled into the batting material, so you end up with a carto that is always full, till you empty the tank.

I personally prefer punched cartos, but you will have to find what works best for you.
