Hey Peeps!

So I got my most recent order from SI today and have some thoughts/concerns/questions. (sorry I might go on a ramble for a minute)

I ordered my first X2 batt, a 650mah. I also got 2 clearos and a cone thing that is supposed to screw over top of it. Also some regular blank cartos and some XL blank cartos.

The X2 battery and the clearomizers are all new to me. Going home shortly to try them out for the very first time!

So today I have been reading a lot of threads about the X2 and more importantly the clearomizers. When I got my package today my initial thoughts were something like this: "ohhhh coooool. nice. sweet dude. very nice. this looks fun. hahaha."
I hooked up the 650 to the clearo to see the size and what it looks like as a unit. I like the size and the look/feel of it. The cone thing I was referring to earlier doesnt fit over top of the clearos. Bummer. I'm guessing these were only designed to fit over top cartos??

I also bought the XL carts thinking these were specifically designed to be used with the X2, after reading I dont think this is true..?

Anyways in about 2 or 3 hours I'll be back with an update on how everything is going. Im really excited about this thing.

But any extra info, hints, tips is more than welcome :)

Sitting down, facing forward.
You don't need the cone for the clearos. It is used to make a transition in size from the X2 down to the size of a carto. The clearo/X2 combination is a great way to get extended vaping time. I used an XL carto (almost identical liquid capacity), with a cone, on an X2 for a drive that lasted a total of six hours in heavy NY traffic and was still vaping it the next day when I walked the dog. I just got the new CE3 cartos/tanks/clearos or whatever you want to call them. They are basically a clearo the size and shape of an XL carto. I'm enjoying clouds of vapor and great flavor from it on a 78mm battery right now. Oh, by the way, a clearo will also work on a 78mm battery as well. The clearo, CE3 carto, standard carto and XL carto are all electrically the same in terms of load on the battery, so any one can be used on any battery. The clearo just looks a little funky on a 65 or 78mm.

Yeah the cone is just an accessory for the X2 to make it look more streamlined and aesthetic if you have a carto or a XL carto on there.

It doesn't work on the clearo but personally I don't think the clearo and X2 combo need much help in the looks dept. :)

I don't think the XL carto's are specifically made for the X2 they are specifically made for the regular 78mm & 65mm batteries. They are just bigger so you can put more juice in there. They do work just fine on the X2's though and with a cone look pretty decent.

the clearos are a little cooler... and may produce a little less vapor then you are used to from the cartos
not getting good vapor. kind of airy draw with little to below average vapor. i can taste the flavor well though.

i filled the clearomizer up to the 1.2ml mark and let it sit for about 25 minutes. hooked it up to the X2 and..well just not vaping well?

any suggestions or ideas as to why??

I was gifted a couple of clearos. Yeah, it was a different kind of vapor. I don't know if it was because I had to take longer hits (thank God for the long cutoff on the X2), but it felt thinner and seemed to go down further, totally bypassing my mouth. I didn't really get to taste the juice until the massive exhale. I think I like getting in-yo-face mouthfuls of vapor first, like I get with the regular cartos, and savor the flavor a little bit. That way, I can pretend I'm eating dessert!
Then the drops of juice on the post started, and I had to wipe it down after every other hit. After about 10 more minutes of that, figured it was time to dump the juice into a condom and fill a regular carto. Glad I tried it though. Maybe I'll try it again with other juice. My Oreo mix is a little problematic, regardless of what I use.

the cutoff is really, really short. i counted 5 seconds on 650 X2. i can see how the juice can make a big difference. I filled with my first clearo with Vapedudes orange cream. it hits better on my 78mm batt. ive been switching out diff carts and batts to see if it makes a difference but the X2 seems to be the shortest cutoff with the least amount of vapor:blush::confused:

OK I just did a little experiment... I have a black X2 from the original batch and purple one from the newer batch. The black one just kept going and going and I gave up after 10 seconds. The purple one conked out after 7 seconds. So it does appear that the cutoff is shorter now. I don't know if that's by design or what. May have to wait for others to weigh in.

Yeah my ego/riva batteries in 808 threads work better with the clearos than the X2 imo. I find the battery pin and the clearo center post restrict airflow a lot and kind of hinder the vapor production. If I just hit them both without hitting the button I can really feel the difference in airflow. I have tried moving the center posts of the X2's a lot to get them to flow better to no avail. Sometimes if you unscrew the clearo a little from the X2 you will get a little better vape in my experience. I have a different issue that SI is working out where my battery just wont hold a long charge...I love the look and feel of these batteries but they underperform for me with the clearos.
