I'm on the Manual team. I like the control, I initially got it when I read there was very little to no chance of your battery getting flooded with juice. I think that's what attracted me to that model. I've never tried an automatic, the only possible thing I think I could do with an auto that I can't do with a manual and that is have it sitting in my mouth and take a puff hands free, but I never did that with an analog so I'm not missing that. I can see why auto's would be good for people who drive a lot though.

I wouldn't use a manual if you paid me. I like the natural feel of just taking a drag with an auto.

As for charging, I use the cable it came with and do all my USB charging on a 5-port HUB I picked up at Best Buy. Cute little thing, 1 port on top and 4 in the back. Been using this for a year now. No idea what it's output is, but must be sufficient cuz I have no problems charging batteries or PCC on it.

Star. Could you possibly pm me what you are using. I went to best buy and they said they don't have anything like that

I was mistaken, it is just 4-ports. Looks like they don't carry this exact model anymore, but Amazon has it. I know I only paid like $13 for this (maybe it was on sale), where the newer model is closer to $30. It isn't very solid feeling, light-weight plastic. But hey, it does the job and was cheap :)

Oh, it plugs into a USB. I want a power strip type device. There must be someplace that sells that. A power strip that plugs into the wall and has 4 - 6 USB ports and delivers 2amps to each port.

If no one sells that, someone on here needs to invent one. After reading some of these posts, i know there some mighty smart volties in here.

2.5 Amp power supply, on/off switch.

You probably won't find one that will deliver 2 amps to each port (which you would only need if you were using standard passthroughs on all of the ports at the same time), but I think some of the Belkin ones will pool all of their available amps to one port when needed. Most hubs will only put out 500mAh per port, because that's what the USB standard is. That's why you can't use a standard passthrough (nonX2) on a computer (it needs 1.5 amps).

Imagine mentioned on another thread that SI's working on a multi-charger. I say wait for that, so you won't have to buy the individual dongles.

The only reason I say I would like 2amps is to be able to charge my iPad, iPhones (2) 1 USB for x2 and 1 (prefer 2) small battery chargers.

The 1.5amp charges the x2 and iPad and iPhone faster than a .5 amp

Right now I have a power strip with 4 wall adapters plugged in (that's all I can fit because of the size of the wall adapter.

Ah so...wow, I'm surprised the .5 amp charges the iPad at all. I heard they need like 2.1...you'd need one with like a 5 or 6 amp power supply for all of that!

oops, sorry for the hijack, comeonhitme!

The iPhone comes with a .5amp, the iPad comes wit a 2.1amp (which is what I use for all my x2). I can plug the iPad into the .5am one, but it takes forever and a day to charge.
Thanks to the best buy protection plan, I got a new, latest generation iPad for free to replace my iPad 2 that i got wet. This thing takes even longer because it has a bigger battery so try to charge it on a .5 is ridiculous,

A 5 amp would be perfect. I dont use the passthrough on the x2 since I have 4 of them. So if I had a charger for the iPhone, iPad, x2 and 2 78mm, 5 amps would be plenty.

when i get my X2 you cant just charge it with the usb cable it comes with through a computer?
You can. They were just talking about something else...we hijacked your thread earlier. Sorry!
But like Imagine said, it's always safer to charge electronics on a wall adapter (it can be any USB one that you might already have).

I own one manual Lea that I bought on sale and I never use it. I had a KGO kit and gave it away. I just don't like manuals, either, Star. Maybe it's a "chick" thing?
