Sounds like maybe the nic strength in your e-liquid is too high? What strength liquid are you vaping and how much do you vape? Maybe some info also about what type of device you're using to vape with will help with some answers.

Typical recommendations for nic strength based on cigarettes smoked:

6 mg = 1/2 pack per day
12 mg = 1 ppd
18 mg = 1 1/2 ppd
24 mg = 2 ppd

Yes and those nic levels are based on not using over maybe 2 ml per day or so. And do not get the juice on your skin.
