Hey everyone,

I just quit smoking 3 days ago.
My bf introduced me to vaping which I'm thankful for.

Right now I have the aspire pockex and I am finding that I'm having to fill my tank alot.. I want to upgrade to a mod of some sort, but forgive me of I'm lost with this, I do not know what all I need. There's so many parts to add that I'm confused

I enjoy the mouth to lung hit. I want a mod or system where I can really taste the flavour. I don't want dryness or a huge ling hit.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks for your help!

Consider the Ego one V2 using 1.0 ohm CLR coils, three years of vaping Nautilus coils and now I find the CLR coils the best for MTL vaping at at 9 to 11 W. The CLR coils are rebuildable if you ever get into that. The Amor CL tank from Totally Wicked also can use the CLR coils and it holds a little more, 2.5ml. I've never tried the CL coils but folks say they aren't good so stick with the CLRs.

The Aspire Nautilus mini got me off the cigs.. over 2years ago.. my vote for you is the new Nautilus 2. There is a wide variety of coils to choose from as well to cater to your style. It has excelent flavor. It's affordable as well. You can get it as a complete kit (Nautilus tank / Zelos mod) of you can just buy the tank and get a separate mod of your choosing.. (Eleaf Pico Mod matches very well with it)

It is one of the best MTL tanks that takes prebuilt coils, good for beginners and it's soo well liked that veteran vapers continue to use it. It's not just for a beginner vaper.

I have a relative that bought something similar and she didn't use it she was trying to get a tobacco taste. I have one of these myself and thought it was a good buy for the money, a good menu system and has very good vapor and flavor. So here is a link
iSmoka Eleaf iStick Pico 75W Melo 3 Mini Kit - White
the tank is only 2 ml which is pretty small but this will get you going. Keeping the nicotine going into your system is important when trying to get away from the cigs for most people, a friend had advised me to use 18 mg e liquid when first vaping. 18 mg is for a pack a day, 9 mg for 1/2 a pack. Good luck
Thank you very much Carl2

Congratulations!!
You can expect some trial and error finding equipment you really like, and juice you really like - stick with it!!

I actually like Carl2's suggestion above - the iStick and Melo are a pretty great little package. Some "advanced" features but not real complicated or expensive, and you can learn a lot about what's good and bad while using it, for anything else you might want later.
Thanks Train2!

I have a Nautilus 2. I like it, but it's a bit fiddly, and I know some people have had a lot of trouble with it. As far as I can tell the main thing is to learn just how much to tighten the coil- it's a bit more than you'd think it ought to be. If you don't tighten it enough the top of the tank will loosen it when you open it to fill it, and it will leak. Another tank that is similar, and can take the same coils, I think, is the IJoye ELF, but I have no personal experience with it.

Yeah, though I can't speak to the tank I have a Pico, and it seems like a good value to me. Here's another link (to just the mod, though they have the kit too): Eleaf iStick PICO Simple Kit - $32.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes . They have 30% off site-wide with a code they list on their front page, and that brings the cost for just the mod to just over $20.00. That's the best deal I've found on the Pico.

I agree about nicotine levels- the trend these days is toward dripping and sub-ohm vaping, so a lot of juice is only available at 6 mg or less. That's probably not going to be enough for you in an MTL tank. You'll need to experiment a bit to find the level that's right for you, but my experience has been that it's better to actually get a little more nicotine vaping than you did smoking, at first. Full disclosure: I like nicotine, and have been known to drip 18mg, even though it's a bit harsh.

It's also important to find juice you like, or at least don't dislike. There are some off-flavors in a lot of juice that really bother me, that other people don't seem to notice... taste in juice is a very personal thing, so you just have to experiment.

The other piece of advice I has is _have backups for everything_. Redundancy is really important. Equipment malfunctions happen, and they happen a lot to newer vapers who haven't quite learned the ins and outs of things, and how to troubleshoot. You never want to be in the position of not being able to vape because something broke, or you lost something.

If cost is an issue it's worth noting that you can find quite a lot of serviceable stuff that's a little out of date really inexpensively in clearance sales. I have a fair number of toppers these days, some still in boxes ;), but I also still have a Kanger Aerotank v2. I don't use it much anymore, because I have things I like better, but in a pinch it would do, and you can pick them and other similar items up for a song these days. It might be a little old, but it's much, much better than what I started vaping on.
Go_player great advice Thanks!

My opinion, for what it's worth, is that there are no true MTL experience (adaptable) Sub-ohm tanks.
What I mean by that is you can set up a Sub-ohm tank with higher resistance coils (less airflow) shut down the airflow on the tank and use a slim drip-tip but actually the experience isn't the same.
I've been trying for 2-3 years to do this and am still looking. It's hard to explain, maybe someone else will understand who's been through this strange search and be able to comment.
Either way, the Melo III is not the answer. The Eleaf ECML coil (in a large tank) is not the answer either
There are Kabuki clones, some are reputed to be very good. They use the BVC Nautilus (Aspire) coils.
Thank you!
