I started vaping almost two days ago now, and upon researching the PG, I ordered the VG e-liquid. Here it is, I can already notice a slight improvement in breathing (able to take a deeper breath more often than usual), among other things such as no stinky analog breath. Now I do however have a "headache" at the base of my neck. I am using the PV My Boro 18mg (PG Free). I was a two or more pack per day smoker. I also can already see why some other folks have been saying that they are just so tired. Its almost as if I dont have any energy. I still ended up smoking about a half a pack of analogs yesterday and almost as much today, (this is getting less though).

I dont think I vape too much, and I have tried the PG liquids as well. I am thinking its just a withdrawl type symptom from the lack of the additional chemicals in the analogs such as the MAOI's that possibly potentiate the nicotine. I will say that the headache is not quite as bad as it was yesterday.

I'm no doc, but this sounds like it could well be analog withhdrawal. Try increasing the nic a bit. Its hard to say what the right level is based on smoking habits from before, since the nic is absorbed primarily orally, not through the lungs. You may be right that you are missing the other alkaloids, but just getting enough nic in the beginning when you are stiill learning how to operate the PV properly, and how to vape right, can be the biggest challenge. It can take some time before you figure out everything.

What kind of PV are you using?

A little confused. Are you using PG or VG?

If you using PG, you might have an elergic reaction to it, hence why ppl use the VG instead. (this is what I've learned so far, the old timers here can correct me if Im wrong) I think the new heath concern is with the VG based juices as VG turns into some other chemical when heated, and has attributed some people to start wheezing....again, this is from what I've learned here.

Also I have read here that what you think you need in Nictone strength might shock you. Perhaps 18MG is too high. Try dropping down the strength.

After recetly quitting analogs myself, your body is going to go through hell and back during the first 2-3 weeks as you clean out. I wasnt a heavy smoker (pack would last 3-4 days) but the withdrawls were still intense non the less. (headache, insominia, skakes etc)

Figure out which gives you the headache more PG or VG, and try a lower NIC ammount. But look up quitting smoking withdrawl symptoms and you'll be surprised what to expect!

I cant say i know what you are going through. I never had any withdrawal symptoms I was addicted to Nic and the motion of smoking. I did have Nic withdrawals the first few days because i was only vaping 18mg bumped up to 36 and cut it with 25 figuring ~30-31mg and its perfect. Once you find your sweet spot for Nic hopefully everything goes away and you will be happy and content :)

Your didn't say what nic density you were using.
Sometimes it is difficult to find the right strength to start on, and it does take a few days to know whether you have to go up or down...but you don't want to start at the highest possible level, if it's more than you need you will be getting nauseous, very very woozy and need to go lay down, shakey, as in very low blood sugar, heart palpitations. You may even become dependant on the higher nic, so Stop vaping until you cut it down!
Too little you may be irritable, headachy, hungry (as in starving to death!) and jittery, so what you're feeling may be an indicator. I started at 16mg/ml juice, and had to go up to 24mg/ml. I just couldn't relax, and the last thing you want is to be on the verge of Panic. I would not advise to go any higher than 24mg to start. Even heavy smokers can start very low nic and be perfectly ok. ?? I smoked HEAVY, 2-3 PPD.
After things settled down and I adjusted (couple months) I could decrease nic very easily a couple times, now at 12mg/ml, with no additional withdrawal at all. Very pleasantly surprised! Have also greatly decreased juice I use, from 30ml every two weeks down to about 10ml per week. Unless I sit at the computer too long!
I can actually work now without having the PV in my hand all the time. In fact, have to go look for it once in awhile. Great feeling.
But do give yourself time, your body is going through a LOT of changes

The only time I get severe headache is if I vape too much or too high a mg. I always vape 36 and had a few headaches with this until I got use to it. If I go up to 42 I get severe headaches.

You mg. doesn't seem that high although it may be for you. Cut back and see if your headache goes away. I smoked 3 packs a day for 40 years and I never had withdrawal symptoms.

Tiredness is common with quitting smoking ( go visit a quit smoking website, not one where anyone uses a PV, and look up the symptoms of waht happens to you when you quit cold turkey) but upping excercise can help a lot because the endorphins released by the body during a high cardio workout mimic some of the chemicals that sit in the same brain receptors for them when you smoke cigarettes.
Drink a lot, excercise more, get a good night's sleep - unless your tiredness has a medical source (thyroid, diabetes) it should work itself out over a couple of weeks or so.
If you are in ANY WAY worried, you should visit your doctor for a health check.

I AM A NO DOCTOR THIS ADVICE IS FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. It is most likely a withdrawl symtom(I was extremely tired my first week or so) However, headache is a sign of too much Nicotine so you should keep an eye out for more serious symtoms of a Nicotine OD. Honestly though if you wake up with a headache and don't get a headache after vaping for a long time then its probally a withdrawl symtom.
