Hi, I was 1 pad smoker and switched to vaping for about a month but still smoking 2-3 analogs a day. I seem to be having and issue finding an e-juice that does not burn my throat (like a peppery burn in my throat) but only on exhale. I have tried pg/vg 70/30, 50/50 and 100% vg at 10, 12, 16 and 18mg and all seem to be doing the same thing. I have used them with kanger t2, iclears dual coil and vivi nova. Would like to get some help please as i really want to get off analogs but this burning is to unpleasant for me to exclusively vape. Thanks in advance

Throat hit and the "peppery" description generally points to the nicotine strength and to a lesser degree, the amount of PG in the eliquid being vaped.

However, you said this is still present even at lower nicotine strengths and PG/VG ratio's, including 100% VG. So this is atypical.

My only other thought would be that you happen to prefer a "cooler" vape. One way to acheive this is to use a higher ohm atomizer in your juice delivery devices. Since you are using a variable voltage battery (eGo Twist), I recommend getting new juice delivery devices that are 3.0 ohm, and to avoid using dual coil anything.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks for the help, what i find weird is that the smoothest one has been the iclear which is dual coil. I did also read that its possible that there is alcohol in the flavorings used in the ejuice i have used and this bothers some people? Is that true? And as for the higher ohm devices, wouldnt i be able to get the same results from a lower ohm device with less voltage? Im not really familiar with the whole ohm and what voltage should be used.

Like Baditude was saying, the higher the ohms on your coil, the cooler your vapor will be. There will also be slightly less vapor. Have all your juices come from the same vendor? Perhaps try another? I haven't had this issue (although I've had dozens of other vaping problems:D). Have you tried a menthol? Best of luck and please post back if you do figure this out.

Concerning the alcohol content of some e-liquids; yes, some have alcohol as a base. With these you can generally smell the alcohol if you remove the cap of the bottle and take a sniff. It may smell "chemically". Regardless, many people will steep their juices by shaking the bottle well and removing the cap and letting it sit that way overnight to allow the alcohol to evaporate.

I had this problem in the beginning. It ended up being the nic was too high. I nearly stopped vaping because of it. Try using as low of a nic mg as you can for 3 or 4 days and see if it clears up. My throat and tongue took days to heal after I lowered my nic. I Don't know if you have tried lower nic for that long already but if not give it a try. Also PG is way harsh compared to VG. Are you a vaper who loves throat hit? If you are I wouldn't go below 50 PG if you can help it. Good luck. I know just how your feeling cause I have been there.

This would be my recommendation. Your symptoms seem very 'atypical' to me also.... especially because the 'peppery burn' occurs more on the 'exhale' than the 'inhale'... so to say I'm somewhat 'stymied' is an understatement

I certainly hope some of these recommendations from these knowledgeable/resourceful Vapers help.... Would you please keep us updated on this? :smokie:

I have always smoked DuMaurier regular so not exactly a light cig. I will try the lower nic and 50/50 to see if that helps. Im currently vaping 12mg 70/30 pg/vg and get an ok throat hit but would like more, and find myself constantly vaping to cut my analog craving. Ill also try steeping the juice to see if that helps. Thanks for the advice people, much appreciated!
