New to Vaping and having some burnt taste issues.

Hi, I just got my first e-cig about a week ago.

Kumiho Ego-C 3.7v 400mAh battery and a Aspire BDC Maxi clearo.

I bought 10ml of 50PG/50VG juice to go with it.
when I started using it everything was fine, but then I got down to nearing empty. I was unaware of the wicks burning out and kept using it till there was no juice shown in the tank (well below the clear line). I then tasted a burnt aftertaste to it. I added more e-liquid to it in hopes that this didnt permanently ruin the atomizer, but it still tasted burnt. I then went back to the shop and they sold me another atomizer. This atomizer was 1.6ohm instead of 1.8ohm. I used the remaining 0.3ml of the e-juice and got it down to the "clear" line on the tank. I then went to another shop and picked up some 60PG/40VG juice and added about 1ml on top of the tiny bit at the bottom of the tank. It tasted fine I think for a while but I started noticing the same burning taste. I thought I had burned out the wicks again on the old e-juice sitting there on low so I went back to the store and picked up another 1.6ohm atomizer. I installed it and haven't used it yet. after leaving the 60/40 juice in the clearo for a while I am noticing this brownish tinge and spots in it. I wish I could post the images of it but it won't let me post "links".

Now my questions are:
Is 1.6ohm on 3.7v for a bdc burning the juice?
Is there burnt residue from the stock atomizer that was in the tank that is causing this?
Also how low should I let the juice go before changing it/adding more. And if I want to change it, whats the best way to do that while salvaging the juice that is left in there. I've heard syringes but is there anything else that works?

I'm sorry if this seems like a lot but I just spent money on two extra atomizers and I'm afraid that im missing the problem. There's alot of variables, it's overwhelming.

should I go back and try to get a refund or what? I just paid $6 for two atomizers that are burning my liquid. I'm also going to have to buy another I guess. I didn't expect to spend this much. It sucks I can't just turn down the voltage on it.

I'd still like to get some more opinions on this.

Also is there any way to remove the liquid thats in there without keeping the burnt parts? or should I just dump the 1ml in there and call it a loss.

I burnt a coil pretty good playing with my new variable voltage toy and that's what started me with rebuilding. After replacing the coil, I reused the same liquid. It wasn't bad.

Here's another link: Ohm's Law Calculator

So a 1.8 ohm atomizer is ~7.6 watts, within safe limits. A 2.1 ohm coil is about 6.5. If you like it hotter, go with the 1.8, otherwise go with 2.1.

ok so if I pick up a 1.8ohm atty I should be fine then, no more burning?

What about the liquid already in there. Will it taste burnt because of the burnt part of it? Should I just dump it?

its up to you what you get, but from my limited experience the 2.2 kanger coils work flawless for me.i burned out the 1.8 in a day

Try 2.2-2.8 ohms for the coils at 3.7 volts.

If your e-cig battery is unregulated, fresh off the charger it will be 4 volts and that can easily burn with a lower resistance atomizer.

It's not necessary to get high wattage to have a satisfying vaping experience. 4 1/2 - 7 watts is acceptable. Very often higher wattage just cooks the juice (particularly non-tobacco juices), even if it doesn't taste overly burned you'll start to get a "baked" taste.
