Hello all I have a 510 and have been loving it, but have run into a issue and could use some help. I noticed after about two weeks it was hard to vap and the draw was weak so I looked at the atty and noticed that there was some short of material stuffed around the bar. Well being new to this in all I though that the atty was clogged up so I remove the cotton looking material.
Well it turns out that I removed the wick . Is there a way to rewick a atty?

Apparently, it tastes better when de-wicked.....see here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/139652-re-wicking-atomizer.html

Just clean it very well by running hot water over it and let it dry before using.....if stuff is really caked on you may have to soak it a while and after allowing it to dry completely -- do a dry burn. I will see if I can find info on how to do that. You need to be careful doing dry burns and not allow them to get too hot or they will pop and not work anymore......

Since you dewicked it, you won't be able to use cartridges with you atomizer. You need to get a couple of new atomizers to have handy. Also, you need to start cleaning them once a week of light to clear colored juices or once every three days for dark colored juice. Also, get yourself a box of boge cartomizers. They are a cartrige and atomizer combination. Just fill and enjoy. Keep topped off. Hold 1ml of juice. When the draw starts to get tough, either clean it or toss it in the trash. I have gotten 2 weeks out of one cartomizer several times. Cheap and worth it. Cartomizers can also be boiled and left several days to dry in order to clean them.

I think I found the trouble, after reading the link you posted I stuffed some of the material from the cart inside the atty and used a new cart and WOW! I got the cleanest hit I have ever had. So then I took out the material from the atty and tried a few more hits and it’s still good. I’m starting to think the issue was the cart the whole time, how often are you suppose to replace the carts?
By the way Spice thanks for the help, there is some much info on vaping that it is hard to find the answers without a little help :) .

You are welcome Vasten,,,,,just enjoy and when you get tired of refilling carts, I would take hairball's suggestion and move to cartomizers....less filling, less hassle, and less messy.
btw you can rinse the carts material under hot water and role dry in a paper towel, but this only works a couple of times....Polyfil is the material used in carts and can be bought cheaply enough....no need to keep buying the the complete carts, unless you don't want to mess with cutting your polyfil to size. Some members use blue foam that can be bought at a pet store...same filtering stuff you use in fish tanks....they say it works...never tried it myself....I quickly went to cartomizers(atty+cart in one piece) and then to clearomizers and eGo tanks and beyond.

The wick is needed to use carts. The wick is what brings the juice from the cart to the coil. I think the bridge may just be a structure for protecting the coil and for pushing the wick into the cart stuffing. BTW you should always have spare atomizers - at least one and 2 is better.

If you have manual batteries then you can still drip on the atomizer. If you have auto batteries you could carefully try dripping but if you get juice on the end of your battery you may lose a battery too. Dripping is really not recommended for autos. If your bridge is external you would have to dip instead (unless it's an external bridge atty a drip tip is made for)
