I want to buy another battery but not sure which one to grab. I recently bought the protank 2 and absolutely love it!!

And your experience of finding what you don't like and what you like will allow you to help others as they start their vaping journey. This forum is a great place to exchange experiences and share what we each have learned.

Now that you have a temporary way to vape, the only thing I can suggest is to shop online for future hardware and e-liquids.

Many of the top e-liquid suppliers have inexpensive sample kits, allowing you to find your favorite flavors. Alice in Vapeland, Hurricane Vapors, Heathers Heavenly Vapors, ECB come to mind. Mount Baker Vapor sells 15 ml at $5.49, 30ml for a couple more bucks.

Mount Baker has some of the largest threads in the General E-Juice category. They also have extensive reviews for each flavor
on their site. It is also one of few companies that will add additional flavoring at 25 cents/shot, if you want some additional kick.

Discount Vapors always has consistent low prices on their hardware. A Vision Spinner Twist Variable Voltage 1300mah Battery costs $14.00. This battery always gets top recommendations for an EGO style battery here on ECF.

Discount Vapors also sell Evod bottom coil clearomizers for about $5.79. Evods have good reputations for reliability, and flavor.
Get a few of these to make flavor rotation easy. I change flavors at least 10 times a day, using 5 pre-loaded Evods. Screw off, screw on. You can also buy some replaceable coil heads here. The Spinners and Evods can be color matched, so you can look stylish as you vape.

In most cases, you'll also have to get used to steeping your juice to bring out the best flavor from your juice.

Blu starter kit was possibly the worst purchase I've ever made. Had I not found this forum I probably would have just gone back to smoking in 2 days. Perfectly happy with my evod for now.

If it makes you feel any better, I wasted ~250 buying Smokesation 808 crap... a month later, 2 Provari's, 3 cartotanks & a health supply of juice makes the initial mistakes look like nothing. Not to mention all that 808 gear is worthless now. At least you can do some refilling & have some good backup/outdoor activity gear.

Yup, this is why I am doing my research BEFORE I buy anything. lol. I am trying to avoid the worst of the pitfalls. I expect I will have some less than stellar purchases that I will not like but I am trying to avoid completely biffing it and spending money I cant afford. Thanks for the thread.

In a few days of making the full decision to quit smoking and start vaping I spent 137$ on an Evic, ECA tank, sample pack of juices 1 30ml of juice. 9.27$ on a 5 pack of atomizers for protank II. 33.50 for two protank II's then 50$ at a local shop for an eGo twist with a 30ml of juice. All in all it was the best money I have spent in all my life. I been smoke free for almost two days. I handed a full pack of analogs to a complete stranger.

I think that doing your research before buying is crucial to saving money. I spent a week checking things out before I bought and ended up starting with a Vamo V3, Protank 2 and 70ml assorted juice. Mind you that after buying batteries a charger and extra coils, the price went up considerably.

Heck, in the last 6 days, Ive put in 3 more orders for stuff that were all over $100 so what do I know!!

The biggest mistake would have been never trying an e cig.

Day one, you spent $12. You could have decided vaping wasn't for you, and found that out for only 12 bucks.

Of course, we all just bought the one perfect device first time at the best price. Not!

This is so true. There are so many cost/savings benefits.... You spent less on that gear than two months worth of patches and gum.

Less than an office visit and x rays.

Less than the wheezing.

Money well spent if you ask me. I an a little under that, as my first kit was a $40 ego clone, and the juice at my local shop is $1/ml.

I now have a 1300mah spinner and Protank Mini.

Its a hobby, a life change, a health benefit and a way to feed a nasty addiction all rolled into one.... I think the financial costs are more than balanced with the health, pleasure and entertainment benefits.
