Yes, I was shocked at how easy it was to walk away from cigarettes after I took my first puff off my pv. It was a Saturday night and I had already kicked the "festsivities" off, figured I'd need to switch back and forth between the eGo and the cigs while drinking... but nope.

I also quickly understood what others were saying about the juice flavors, I was trying so hard to load up on different menthols to emulate what I used to smoke as much as possible, but man screw that! Still add menthol to my stuff but I love these fruity flavors too much :)

"energy"... that's your oxygen saturation level. At 2PAD and chain smoking plus aging I wound up in the ER with a saturation level of 60 when it should be above 95. That was an expensive lesson. I had no idea how much smoking saps your oxygen. My legs had no strength which is what sent me to the ER in a wheelchair and now I walk briskly outside every day.

Well I got the TW Tornado-T so I have 2 atomizers and 2 batteries. I just got another 10ml of juice so I have about 20ml on hand. From those with experience, as far as backups go what should I do from this point? I have a local shop 5 mins from my house to get juice so if I was getting low its not like I need to wait for online orders...as far as gear goes what should my next step be down the road? I really like this Tornado T (510) but I only know it as I am new to all the different types of PV. I can see myself being fine with this setup for awhile.

Welcome aboard , you're in for a wild ride :toast:
My story is pretty much like yours , I started with a 510 cigalike , several batteries , lots of tank cartridges and lots of different juices , i still haven't settled on one or 2 yet . I just recently bought a vv twist , awesome ,some T3 clearos and replacement heads , and have an ego passthru in the mail ( for loungin on the couch or on the laptop) I really can't see me needing anything else except more T3 replacement heads & juice as needed .

My story is similar to yours. I was also a heavy Newport smoker. Funny thing is, after trying numerous types of menthol juices, I realized that I actually liked vaping more chocolaty flavored ones. Candy Bar from Mt Baker Vapor is sinfully delicious - dark, rich, sweet and nutty. I also found that I truly preferred vaping over smoking. I don't have to go out in the cold anymore. I can vape while I'm at my computer or watching TV. I t also does become a hobby, playing with different set ups and experimenting with juices. Good luck to you and welcome to the vaping family!

Try having your 4 yr old son say "i don't want you to die like me maw, pwease stop smokin". And you know what, I didn't even quit then. I felt like such a scumbag. I kept thinking to myself, what kind of man are you? So one day I started researching vaping for god only knows why, and I just quit. I have no idea why. I have smoked 2 real cigs in the past 4 months and both times I told on myself to my family. I'm telling you guys the truth when I say this, now that the hold of cigs has been broken....I am NEVER gonna be that person again. Thanks to vaping I am much healthier, my kids have someone they aren't worried will die a nasty death, and I can actually look at myself in mirror.

i can relate to several peoples stories i promised my kids when they were very young (4,6,7) that i would quit smoking.
my oldest is now almost 22 and i just quit on the 12th of december. it took my father in law dying of lung cancer 3 years ago for me to really start thinking about it. Then it still took my kids to give me 3 beautiful grandkids to finally say you know what?
I am thru with this. Now im a vape junky and buying all kinds of fun stuff that wont kill me but my wife might for
buying new toys all the time as i know have 2 riva's 4 ego's ab itaste and a lava tube lol

My story is so similar! Welcome! I started vaping 8 days ago and I haven't had a cig since. My BF is quitting and I hooked him up with some goodies last night...he is looking forward to vaping as a way to quit the sticks. He had two cigs while we chatted and I didn't have the slightest craving for one. My taste buds and sense of smell are back and I have immense energy from no O2 deprivation! Congratulations on your steps toward health...that's awesome!

I got lucky with the brick n mortar store around the corner and for finding a juice I can vape all day (peppermint cream-vaporphoxxe house blend)...the peppermint gives me that strong menthol throat hit that I need from being a menthol guy. Now I'm looking for other strong peppermint flavored cuz that's def my taste. Anyone else only like the mint flavored? And any suggestions?

Just one word of warning...

In about one month your wife is going to start getting tired of you talking about vaping all the time.
And in about three months you wife is going to start getting really tired of you talking about vaping all the time.

But it is unlikely that you will actually stop talking about vaping all the time for at least five months.
