Hi, I just recieved my eGo-T and im awaiting some DIY stuff from FA.

I wanted to ask if there is anyone who has some advice about stuff like syringes, pipettes, dropper bottles and where i can get em from a trusty supplier? FA doesn't have any syringes and my local pharmacy only sells the sharp and thin ones, wich i dont want since getting nicotine and flavor injected into your arm by accident is not what im looking for :p

I am from Denmark in Europe (just above germany and just below sweeden :D)

Also, any tips on DIY'ing would be nice (dont want anything with tobacco flavor, as that is one of the reasons im trying to quit)

Hello Denmark You will not go far wrong with flavour art. You can buy VG in bulk from people outside of the E-cig world just make sure it is VG and not animal based glycerene. It must have BP or FDA approved in the add or on the bottle and can be thinned with 10 % de-ionised water as it is a bit to viscous as is. I would get a small medium and large syringe 2.5, 5 and 60 ml, and a couple of 14 and 18 gauge needles BLUNT ones. A selection of pippettes 1.5 ml 3ml and 5 ml are normal sizes get two of each as they split but only after a year of heavy use. Also get a good stash of small dropper bottles with child proof lids 5ml size is good to mix small batches and gives room for a good shake to mix the flavour etc up. The 2.5 ml syringe is the most usefull for mini mixes as they have .1ml increments on the scale. Try mixing flavour and carrier with each other and you can add nicotine at a later date. If you go wrong it is not so costly. Flavour art flavours are good and I use them upto 20 percent in my mixing. fruits nearly all at 20 and darker tastes at around 10 to 15 percent. Just get lots of bottles as you will soon have a lot of little mixes you can sample and learn from. Twenty 5 ml is not over the top IMHO for a first order. It gives room to experiment. Hope this helps, I get my supplies from liberty flights uk and have had great service each time I have used them.. Happy mixing and kind regards Rob.......

wow, that nicotine deal seems to be a catch, i just cant help wondering why they can sell it so cheap. Considdering that i will be inhaling the stuff i want it to be ONLY nicotine and the dilutant, no other poisons :) but i guess you wouldnt recomend it if it wasnt any good. 100 mg? isnt that insanely strong? like 1 drop on your skin and your on your way to the hospital?

EDIT: Is the DIY Eliquid from libertyflights any good? mostly the flavors im interrested in.

Yeah, it could be like that, but that is the strength I mix with. Proper precautions are needed. No loose sleeves, gloves, face shield, and no shorts either. I also use a syringe with a stopper that fits the bottle and syringe to minimize dripping accidents like this Amazon.com: Apothecary Products Oral Syringe with Dosage Korc 10 ml syringe: Health & Personal Care

I use syringes for most of my measuring because drop size, like from plastic pipettes, varies between liquids and pipette. Got tired of calibrating my drops with a graduated cylinder all the time.

Also, a facesheild? Cant this be done without splashing around with it?

Well, if a drop gets on my skin, that's a problem, but if a drop gets in my eye, that is much worse.

What does it take to get a drop in the eye? A drip top that goes on wrong? A dropped bottle due to slippery PG covered fingers?

I've never had a splash, but I'd rather be ready for one than not.

This is great advise. I do not think enough people take the danger of 100mg/ml nic seriously enough. I would add that as soon as you measure out what you need from the source bottle that you cap it and store it. It is really easy to get complacent and it can be easily knocked over when reaching for flavors and mixing sauce.

Another question i hope you can answer, the isopropyl alcohol used for cleaning atties, what % is required? I can get it at 35% but is that enough?

Huh, I never used denatured alcohol in my attys. I use Everclear, PGA, if they need it that bad. Ususally I can swish PG through them and they are fine. The rubber adaptor on that syringe I use for nic will hold an atty so I can pump liquid back and forth.

I have really stopped cleaning attys unless they clog. Not worth my time. But I also buy attys 25 at a time and get good discounts.

I do not know about Denmark but as Hoosier and live2ski have added take no risks when using high strength nic. In worse case it can be fatal. As for atty cleaning I blow hot water through them and have had no issues so far. If you use one and have it sat around for a while it gets a bit gummy but not so bad as not to use. You can soak them in boiling water thats fine and will make soft any deposits. I think keeping the atty well wetted with E juice during use is the best thing to keep them going though. Some last a second and some users on the forum have had them for a year its pot luck just keep some spares. Hoosier has the best economic stratergy in bulk buying for discount which I do to and save around a pound per atty if I get twenty at a time.

Everclear is a brand name for 190 proof, 95%, grain, aka: ethyl, alcohol. Some states only allow it to be sold at 151 proof, but I refuse to live in those types of states.

Sorry, I have traveled quite a bit within the US, but am woefully ignorant of Denmark alcohol laws and consumer "protection" regulations. The fact that the highest denatured alcohol you could find was 35% does not give me much hope. I can buy 80% rubbing alcohol at a corner store and the more useful 95% at livestock & drug stores, but it is still denatured. I use it for general cleaning, but nothing that I would use as a surface for eating or inhalation.

Basically it would be the strongest clear non-flavored liquor you can find on the shelf. It cleans attys, thins VG, cleans mixing equipment, and gives an extra kick to cocktails. Useful to have on hand.

If you can get neoprene (sic?) stoppers, have something to hold them other than your hands, and some drill bits, you can make it yourself.

A school lab supply shop kinda' place. I know a few, but they are all in the states.

I've done this to make bushing for shift linkage in my car too. Used some plywood in a vise to hold the stoppers. Just drill a hole between the smallest and largest diameter of the stopper. Shove the stopper in the wood and clamp the wood in a vise. Drill slowly.
