Hi, I have the Ego Tornado as well, it would help to know if you are using atomisers or cartos. Both need to be replaced at regular intervals as they do wear out. After about a month or so of the Ego, I purchased a Lavatube and two Puff Diddy tanks, these hold about 3ml of liquid and the cartos the tank uses are only about £2 each so they make replacing them quite cheap, you have to prime the cartos first though as I found out to my expense by having a nasty burnt taste in the first one, you do this by dripping the liquid in until it leaks slightly from the bottom, leave it to rest then clean it up, insert it into the tank, drip liquid into the tank attach and fire away. The Lavatube is a good cheap VV (variable voltage) mod, and you can adjust the power up or down until you get the hit and flavour that satisfies you, it takes a 18650 battery and these last all day, and I vape a lot, I get through at least a 3ml tank a day, the joy of adjusting the voltage is that you get the best of each flavour and a good throat hit as well, which suits you and the flavour. I have had my Lavatube since the beginning of Jan, and wrote a review of it in the new members forum, which got some good responses here is the link, I hope it helps.

You could always get the other one of these:

975 volts!

More seriously, I know what you mean. Have been using ego-type battery setup with EMDCC's for close to a month now. They're not bad, especially when the batteries are fresh, but I've also noticed the liquid/vape has a lot more flavor when the carto is "warmed up" a bit (easier with a fresh battery). Been thinking pretty hard about a VV mod. Saw a decent youtube review on the lavatube by Steve Bonner. Looks pretty interesting - compare the amount of vapor he gets just cranking voltage up some:

Will probably go provari myself tho, at least if we get a decent tax refund. :)

I used the ego-t for about 6 months. .. then I bought a REO mini, and the Egos have been collecting dust since day 1.

Both of your complaints (the mild flavor and the difficulty getting a good hit) CAN be fixed with better hardware and the right juice. The trick is finding what works for you. Look for a setup with atomizers if you really want to maximize flavor.

As an aside, I still credit the ego-t for being a very good device, just because it's so simple to use. As weak as it is in comparison to the best PVs, it is also much better than many inexpensive PVs, is a good value, and remains a great option for "mild smokers" looking to make the switch.
